3. Welcome to the 1BestariNet Portal!
The 1BestariNet project, an initiative by the Malaysian Ministry of Education in partnership
with YTL Communications, is bringing the future of education to every school in
Malaysia. For the first time in the world, high-speed 4G internet connectivity, a cloud-
based learning platform, and access to 'best-in-class' resources will converge under an
integrated solution designed specifically for teaching and learning.
Over 10,000,000 Yes IDs have been provisioned to every school, giving teachers, students,
and parents access to the Frog VLE, the Yes 4G network, and global learning resources via
the FrogStore, anytime anywhere. All of this is available through the 1Bestrinet Portal – a
single point of access for Teachers, Students and Parents.
Teacher and Student Access
Teacher and student access to the 1BestariNet Portal offers the same user experience. By
using the 1Besatrinet portal they can access both their Frog VLE and their Yes account with
a single click.

4. Accessing the 1BestariNet Portal as a Teacher or Student
To access the 1BestariNet Portal as a Teacher or Student you must first open your browser
window. In your browser address bar, type in www.yes.my. This will display the yes.my
main website home page.
In the main menu bar, click on the 1BestariNet button. This will display the 1BestariNet
login page.
Click on the Login Now! Button. This will display a page similar to your Frog VLE login
page.
Enter your Yes ID and password in the login box.

5. Click the blue Login button to log into the 1BestariNet Portal.
Accessing your Frog VLE from the 1BestariNet Portal
To access your Frog VLE scroll down to the Frog VLE section.
Click on the blue Login to the VLE! button. This will automatically determine which Frog VLE
to log you into based on your Yes ID.

6. Your Frog VLE will now open in a new browser tab.
Accessing your Yes Account from the 1BestariNet Portal
To access your Yes account, scroll down to the My Account section.

7. In this section, a general summary of your account is displayed.
Click on the blue Manage My Account! button to access the full range of account options.
The My Account area allows you to manage your Yes account. In here you can:
• Update your personal details.
• Change your password.
• Manage your credit card details (teacher only).
• View usage details.
• Reload your Yes account.

8. When you have finished in the My Account section you must decide where you want to go
next. You have two options:
If you do not require access to the Frog VLE click on the Logout button. This will end your
1BestariNet Portal session.
If you require access to the Frog VLE simply close the My Account tab in your browser.
After closing the tab, scroll down to the Frog VLE section.

9. Click on the blue Login to the VLE! button. This will automatically determine which Frog VLE
to log you into based on your Yes ID.
Parent Access
The Parent Portal provides a single point of access to parents with children in Malaysian
schools. By using the Parent Portal parents have access to the following features:
• Retrieve and validate their 1BestariNet yes ID.
• Log in to their child’s Frog VLE
• Report inaccuracies.

10. • Access the FrogStore.
• Shop in the Yes store.
All of this is possible because Malaysian parents have now been issued with a unique
1BestariNet Yes ID. The 1BestariNet Yes ID enables parents to not only access the Parent
Portal but also to take advantage of reduced rates while on the Yes network.
Retrieving your Parent Yes ID
Note: If you already know your Yes ID then skip this step and proceed to the next section
‘Accessing the 1BestariNet Portal as a Parent’.
To retrieve your parent Yes ID you must first open your browser window. In your browser
address bar, type in www.yes.my. This will display the yes.my main website.
In the main menu bar, click on the 1BestariNet button. This will display the 1BestariNet
login page.
Click on the Find your 1BestariNet Yes ID link.

11. In the Yes ID Password Retrieval page enter your IC or Passport number and your full
name.
Click on the blue Search button to retrieve your Yes ID.
In the 1BestariNet Profile section enter your e-mail address and mobile telephone number.
Click on the Update button.

12. You now have two options as to how your password is sent to you.
Your options are:
Have your password e-mailed to you.
Have your password sent by SMS.
Click on your preferred method. Your password will now be sent to you. Click OK to close.
Accessing the 1BestariNet Portal as a Parent
To access the 1BestariNet Portal as a Parent you must first open your browser window. In
your browsers address bar type in www.yes.my. This will display the yes.my home page.

13. In the main menu bar, click on the 1BestariNet button. This will display the 1BestariNet
login page.
Click on the Login Now! Button. This will display a page similar to your Frog VLE login
page.
Enter your Yes ID and password in the login box.
Click the blue Login button to log into the 1BestariNet Portal.
If this is your first time logging in to the 1BestariNet Portal you will be asked to activate your
Yes ID.

14. Activating your Yes ID
To activate your Yes ID enter your 1BestariNet Yes ID and password into the verification
box.
If you accept the Terms and Conditions tick the checkbox.
Click the blue Verify button.

15. Click on the Login now link to login to continue to the 1BestariNet Parent Portal.

16. Account Details
The Account Details section displays the following information:
• Your Yes ID
• Your account number
• Your account balance,
• Yes Account link (see Manage Account section)
• Yes Mail account link
FrogStore
The FrogStore is a teaching & learning marketplace giving seamless access to ‘best in
class’ education content, products and services to enhance every child’s learning journey.
Content obtained by parents through the FrogStore is assimilated into the VLE
automatically for your child to start using in their school. Larger items such as mobile
devices or Chromebooks will be delivered to your door or can be picked up from your
nearest YES outlet store.
The FrogStore brings the very best in digital educational content into a single searchable
on-line portal. Browse through our library of hundreds of digital books; adding those that
you want your child to read to their Bookshelf. Why spend hours searching the internet for
the latest educational content when you can just search the FrogStore?

17. FrogAsia Blog
The FrogAsia Blog keeps you informed of all the latest happenings at
FrogAsia. Clicking on a link will open the article in a new tab.
1BestariNet Latest News
The 1BesatriNet Latest News section displays up to the minute
information regarding the 1BestariNet project. Clicking on a link will
open the article in a new tab.
Top Downloads
Top Downloads displays a list of the most popular items in the
FrogStore. This is calculated by how many times a particular item has
been downloaded. Clicking on the name of a download in the list
displays the item in a new tab.
My Children
The My Children section displays a list of students that you are the
parent or guardian of. In this section you can:
• Verify your Children
• Report a discrepancy in the child’s information.
• Access your child’s Frog VLE.
• Add a child that does not appear in the My Children section.

18. Verifying a Child
As a security measure you must verify your children before being able to access your
child’s Frog VLE. To verify a child, click on the green Verify button under the child’s name.
Check that the name that appears is correct.
In the Select drop down menu choose either Birth Certificate number or IC/Passport
number.
Enter your child’s Birth Certificate number or IC/Passport details in the text box.

19. Click the blue Submit button.
A confirmation message will appear informing you that your child has been verified.
Your child has now been verified. You can now access your child’s Frog VLE Parent’s
Noticeboard.
Reporting a Discrepancy
If the details of one or more of your children in the My Children section are incorrect, you
can report this to their school admin to rectify. To report a discrepancy, click on the orange
Report button.

20. If the child displayed is not your child click the Not My Child radio button.
If the child’s name, identification number or school is incorrect click the Others radio
button, make a selection and enter the correct details.
Enter your contact number.
Click the blue Submit button
This will send an email notification to your child’s school admin to rectify the discrepancy.

21. You will not be able to access the Parent’s Noticeboard for a reported child until the
school has rectified the discrepancy.
Adding a Child
If one or more of your children do not appear in the My Children section it is possible to
request that the school admin adds them to the list. To add a child, click on the blue Add
Child button.
Enter your child’s name into the text box.
In the Identification Type drop down menu choose either the Birth Certificate number or
the IC/Passport number.
Enter the child’s Birth Certificate number or the IC/Passport number into the text box.

22. Enter your child’s Yes ID into the text box.
Enter your contact number and email address into the text boxes.
When complete click the blue Submit button.
This will send an email notification to your child’s school admin to add them to the Portal.
