Mistreatment in the
         Slave house
By: Iliana Centeno, Dezire Goldman, Michael Keller, and
                     Allison Isbell
Rations
• Corn Meal
• Pork
• Molasses
• Small amounts of Coffee
• Water
• Very little to eat though
Disadvantages
• They were on call night and day
• Hardly any privacy
• No education
• No communication with other African
  Americans.
• Work in the heat or cold.
Punishment

• They were beaten if they did not do their
  work properly. They would be whipped or
  put in the Smoke House which cut off air
  flow and was bad for their health. If not
  that they would be put in shackles for the
  rest of the day. The worst situation was
  when they would hung the slaves.
