3. As it is evident from the comparison, India is far behind in china in terms of GDP, Infrastructure exports .
Yes the GDP growth is higher than China , but we should remember that India GDP is about 25% of China
GDP as a result when growth is calculated the denominator is much less as a result we see higher percentage in growth .
For eg - advance economy like Switzerland,Norway has GDP growth less than 2% because their economy is already
well developed .
It is also very important that how the world sees you , what perception your country is carrying , and international tourism
can be considered as one of indicator for this
Annual foreign tourists in China are 56M as compared to 8M in India , that is about 7 times more .It speaks volumes on
how world perceives China & India
On top of all parameters that I have mentioned government policy reforms has a paramount role for country growth ,
with multi party system in India, policy paralysis and indecisiveness becomes an obvious and cumbersome hurdle to overcome
Basically India has to move many mountains, live numerous sleepless nights, to get even closer to China in terms of
economic growth
As Reserve Bank of India Governor Mr Raghuram Rajan rightly said " India should see China not as a competition
but as an Inspiration"
