This document discusses Jacob's fear of his brother Esau and his attempts to make peace. It notes Jacob was afraid of Esau's wrath after stealing his blessing, afraid of confronting Esau directly, and afraid of how Esau would respond. To remedy this, Jacob offered Esau gifts, brought up their past positively, and offered him a peace offering, all in an effort to reconcile with his brother and make peace after their conflict.
