It aims to cultivate individuals who are physically, mentally and morally developed to fulfill their duties as good citizens and contribute to society.

The Indonesian nation is a great nation because it is supported by a number of facts that

large population. Therefore, Indonesia has a tremendous opportunity to become a developed nation,
just, prosperous, sovereign, and dignity. However, to realize it all, we still face a variety of complex
national problem, which is not finished. For example, the political aspect, which includes ambiguity
problem constitutional system and the government, state institutions are not effective, parties systems
that do not support, and the development of pragmatism politic. Then the economy, the issue includes
economic paradigm is not consistent, dualistic economic structure, fiscal policy has not independent,
banking and financial system that is not impartial, and trade and industrial policies are liberal. And
aspects of socialist culture, the current problem is waning sense and national ties, disorientation
religion value, the waning of social cohesion and integration, and a weak positive mentality.
Character is the development of knowledge, skills and abilities that enable learners to make
informed and responsible choices. It involves a commitment to education that emphasizes shared
responsibilities and benefits tanggumg productive life in a diverse global society. Character education
allows students to deal with the realities of life. This encourages them to think critically and act
responsibly then. Instructional materials, methods and strategies, when developed into an
interdisciplinary curricular themes, empower teachers to create meaning while allowing students time
and repleksi exploration purposes. Development character provides the foundation that we can build
respect for human dignity and create a 21st century school that will empower students to achieve
excellence.
Education is the cornerstone to form a personality. Education does not always come from
formal education such as high school or college. Informal and non-formal education also has an equal
role to shape the personality, especially children or learners. Formal education is a structured
educational pathways and tiered consisting of elementary education, secondary education, and higher
education. While non-formal education courses consist of institutions, training institutes, study
groups, learning centers, and similar educational units. While informal education is the path of family
and environmental education. Informal education activities performed by family and environmental
form independent learning activities. In addition, the education of a thing actually happened to be
implanted than physical, mental, and moral individuals, so that they become a civilized human being,
so it is expected to fulfill his duties as a human being created by Allah the Lord of the Universe as
