1. 2023 ROUND WE GO
AGAIN..
Yes it’s February so it’s time to welcome you to
Fantasy Formula One 2023.
2022 brought in a new era and the torch was passed
onto Red Bull and Max Verstappen to dominate the
season, but that was last year…
2023 will be a 24 no 23 race season, we’ve already
lost China, including a new race in Vegas which will
give us 3 races in the States..
We’ve had a few drivers swap teams and a couple of
new ones as well for this season including the
returning Nico Hulkenberg, did he ever really go
away…
But as with every year there is still some important
questions that still need answering –
Will Rich Clark continue to dominate FF1 and could
he be our first triple champion?
Will Ady Twigg enter this year or is he still sulking on
Max winning the 2021 season?
Can Lewis Hamilton make a comeback?
If my dog wins can I take credit for it?
Well they might not be that important but what is
important is that Fantasy Formula One is about
having a good laugh.
The entry fee is just £3 per team and you’re
allowed to put in as many teams as you like (within
reason).
The scoring is the same as last year and the rules
on the next few pages for those who are new or
have forgot.
The closing date for all entries and money is
Monday 27th February (Monday before the first
Grand Prix).
The prizes are as follows –
A bottle of wine to the winner of each grand prix.
All the money left over in the prize fund after all the
other prizes have been paid for will be divided up as
follows
1st Place - 50%
2nd
Place - 30%
3rd
Place - 20%
The top three will also receive a medal.
The total prize money will be announced after all the
teams are in.
Last year’s pay out was –
1st
place £82
2nd
place £50
3rd
place £32
Graham Bickley
It is with great sadness I have to announce the death
of our dear friend Graham Bickley who passed away
on January 17th
at the age of 78.
Graham joined FF1 in the early days and was always
up for a bit of banter which earned him the title of
FF1’s MOG but was always happy when he won even
if it was just the wooden spoon.
I’m sure you all join us in sending our condolences to
Jackie and the family, Fantasy Formula One won’t be
the same without you, we’re going to miss you
Graham.
FIRST WRITE UP OUT AFTER THE BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX
