have several subsidiaries that target many different
markets. Conglomerate companies are able to advertise
very effectively through their many markets, For
example, the promise of play listing
(allegedly, sometimes, coupled with the threat of
blacklisting) on its radio stations was used to secure
better deals from artists.

An example of a global conglomerate is Sony. Sony has

Financial services, insurance, banking, credit finance

Synergy is when two separate companies or brands combine
to help each other gain recognition or profit. Music artists
often synergise with perfume and clothe brands and are
paid to feature on advertisements.
