1. My final year Architectural design project involved the design of a visitor centre to be based in
Southend on sea. It was to be of zero carbon construction with electricity supply from an offshore
wind farm. The visitor centre was to incorporate some 40 to 50 apartments of Steel and concrete
construction with a Glass façade and a multi storey Underground car park. I used Revit to design the
whole project. It involved a research of the area, from the geological survey using Ordinance survey
Digi map, site analysis, research of local climate, demography, transport, and a feasibility study of
the area.

One of my favourite MSc modules is Advanced Computing and Structural Simulation where I used
the ANSYS program to design and analyse some composite slab structures. I am currently doing my
masters research project on flat slab design and analysis using Strand 7, which I am finding to be
very interesting
