Healing Technologies will develop a common web-based platform for different medical sensor apps to transmit bio-data to their diagnostic center. They will demonstrate this by creating an app where an intestine-imaging pill transmits images to doctors remotely for intestinal cancer diagnosis. This could save lives by detecting cancers earlier than current methods while being inexpensive and convenient. However, they must address legal obligations and liability risks to partner with local doctors.
2. Our Business Concept
• Healing Technologies will remotely assist its global
clientele in sensor-enabled diagnostic and health
monitoring solutions.
• Our company will develop a common web-based
platform for different cell phone apps that take data from
many types of bio-medical sensors and transmit them to
the company's diagnostic and data-center.
• The company's overall goal is not to replace regular
doctors but to provide an inexpensive and simple
solution to the initial diagnosis
Healing Technologies
3. Health Monitoring
Services
• Check the sensor data (heart rate, temperature, blood
pressure etc.) and patterns automatically and create
alarms
• Check for trends on a 24hr basis
• In case of alerts offer a service to call user.
• Create personalized medical reports
We need to measure revenue per resource. So we can say
a team of 3people can support a group of 60people. If
the subscriber fee per month is $200.Then,12,000 per
3people= $4000 per resource. This will be further
reduced by including the IT person and infrastructure
cost.
4. Our Value Proposition
• Healing technologie plans to move many
diagnostic tests and health monitoring
solutions from doctor's office directly to
people's homes.
• We will save expense and time to the users
of our service
• Due to the conveniences and cost savings of
our diagnostic service we will save lives!

5. Demonstration Project: Remotely
Monitored Intestine Visualizing Pill
Healing Technologies will demonstrate its business
concept by creating a revolutionary application that will
assist in diagnosis of intestinal cancers.
We will develop a home-based test
where an existing camera-pill
swallowed by a patient transmits
images of intestine to doctor-advisers
in our remote data center in India.
Healing Technologies
6. Value Proposition for the
Demonstration Project
• Currently, colonoscopy saves many lives by detecting
colon cancer early.
• Other parts of the intestine are rarely explored due to
the difficulty and expense of diagnostic tests.
• By providing remotely-guided diagnosis using intestine-
imaging pill, Healing Technologies will save lives and
prove its business concept.
HEALING TECHNOLOGIES
7. Customers
• People who do not not have insurance coverage and
experiences troubling intestinal symptoms
• Concerned patients whose doctor thinks that the
symptoms experienced by them do not warrant
diagnostic steps while they think otherwise.
• Individuals with a family history of intestinal disease
(like cancer) that would like to be checked on a regular
basis.

8. Potential Obstacles to
Overcome
• Once a doctor diagnoses a negative condition (has a
finding) he/she is obligated by law to make sure that the
patient is directed into a proper treatment. We may
have to partner with local doctors to address this issue.
• A pill may get stuck and need to be removed surgically.
The solution is to take dissolvable pill first (it is digested
after 30 hours).
• Potential liability in missing a "finding" during the test.
Legal advice will be needed.
HEALING TECHNOLOGIES
9. Market Size for Remotely
Guided Intestinal Pill
• 72 million ambulatory care visits with a first-
listed diagnosis of a digestive disease
• equated to a rate of 35,684 visits per
100,000 U.S. population.
• In other words, for every 100 U.S.
residents, there were 35 ambulatory care
visits at which a digestive disease diagnosis
was noted.
HEALING TECHNOLOGIES
10. Market Penetration
Estimate
• During the market study we conducted 8
face to face interviews. The overall opinion is
that we a strong business concept.
• Average agreed upon price for the Pill Test
is $300
• If we address 0.1% of the doctor's visits with
intestinal complaints it will result in 72,000
remotely administered tests a year.
• Annual revenue: $300 x
HEALING TECHNOLOGIES
72,000=$21,600,000
11. Life Saving Benefit
• There are 153,000 colon cancer annually
diagnosed in US
• There are approximately 50,000 other
intestinal cancers annually diagnosed in US
• 50% of the diagnosed will die from the
disease within 3 years.
• By providing early diagnosis we may save
tens of thousands of lives in US and
worldwide.
