2. If you are interested in becoming
a medical assistant, it’s important
that you find the right program
to go through.

3. Metro Tech’s medical assistant program
combines classroom, laboratory, and
work-site learning components so that every
student gets comprehensive education and
training for their future job.

4. All students who complete this program are
eligible to sit for the Certified or
Registered Medical Assistant exam.

5. Some of the different courses that this
program involves include academic life
skills, medical assisting applications,
medical law and ethics, and administrative
medical office procedures.

6. Those who are thinking about entering
the program will benefit from having good
organization skills, mental alertness, good
communication skills, reading skills at the
10th grade level or above, and math skills at
the 8th grade level or above.

7. Some of the certifications that are available
include Administrative Medical Assistant,
CareerTech Testing Center,
Certified Clinical Assistant (CCMA),
and others.

8. There are a number of industry
accreditations associated with Metro Tech’s
medical assistant program, including the
Commission on Accreditation of Allied
Health Education Programs.
