Week 2 WBS Wedding Assignment using MS Project
Now is the time to install MS Project. Do that first, then complete the following MS Project homework exercise.
The following are MAJOR tasks for a wedding. Use TWO of the tasks to build a Work Breakdown Structure in Microsoft Project.
Each major task should have 2 sub-tasks. Each sub-task should have 2 sub-sub tasks. You may add more if you wish or have a need to add more to be sure the major task is complete.
The scenarios are these: You have been asked to help your best friend plan a wedding or a family reunion in another city. You have no concern for schedule or budget at the moment, only defining the work that needs to be done for the wedding or reunion to start on time and to be successful. There will be about 100 guests.
The major tasks are these (in no particular order… you may order them in a way that is logical to you… AND you may ADD major tasks as you see the need).:
Sign a contract for a church and/or reception facility
Invite guests
Provide décor/decorations (this includes flowers)
Provide food and beverages
Provide lodging and transportation for guests
Your assignment must be completed in Microsoft Project and submitted no later than 10:00 pm on Sunday evening.
1. Scholarly Activity
Art Creation and Analysis
Your task is to create a piece of art that reflects a text that has some meaning to you. The art can be in any form you can imagine. You can paint, draw, sing, perform a dance, take a photo, make pottery, make a collage with magazine pictures, create a meal, or whatever you can think of. You can use any text that is important to you. It can be a religious text, but it does not have to be. You could use a poem, a song, a newspaper story, a letter from an old friend, or anything else that has some value to you.
You do not have to be an artist to do this assignment and you do not have to be an expert in symbolism. The point of this assignment is to see the connection between art and religion by creating your own art and your own symbolism. By participation in the analysis of a text based on your beliefs of what it means and creating a work of art based on those beliefs, you might better be able to analyze works of art and their connection to religion.
Consider what you read in the Unit III lecture concerning exegesis. Take into consideration every element that might affect how you interpret the piece of text for your art. What is your cultural lens through which you are reading the text? (Think back to your spiritual autobiography in Unit I.) Who is the author of the text? What is the author’s culture? Who was the intended audience of the text and what is their culture like? What is the purpose of the format of the text (Scripture, poem, story, etc.)? What is the grammar and sentence structure like? These are all elements to consider as you analyze your chosen text.
Follow each step in the list below.
1. Choose a text to analyze. (It can be as small a.

text.
Follow each step in the list below.
1. Choose a text to analyze. (It can be as small as one or two
3. sentences from a piece of work. You do not need to choose an
entire piece of work, as that would be too much to contain in
one piece of art.)
2. Read the text several times and write a short summary of
what it means to you. This can be just a list or words. Consider
this to be a brainstorming activity.
3. Decide what form of art you think would best convey the
meaning the text has for you. Ask your professor if you have
any questions about whether or not what you want to create
would be considered art for the purposes of this assignment.
4. Create the piece of art. (Try to make it something fairly
simple that will not take up too much time using whatever
supplies you might have around the house.)
5. Write an essay, at least 250 words in length, explaining the
choices you made with your art and how each choice reflects the
text you chose. Be sure to consider the list of exegetical
questions provided in the paragraph above.

B. Project Objective:
Explain the specific objectives of the project. For example:
What value does this project add to the organization? How does
this project align with the strategic priorities of the
organization? What problem will this project solve? What
results are expected? What are the deliverables? What benefits
will be realized? What problems will be resolved?
6. C. Assumptions
List and describe the assumptions made in the decision to
charter this project. Please note that all assumptions must be
validated to ensure that the project stays on schedule and on
budget.
HIPAA Privacy and Security policies are required for storing
and maintaining patient data, along with additional
confidentiality and access requirements. The HIPAA Security
Rule requires a dental practice to conduct a written risk
assessment and develop safeguards to protect electronic patient
information. Customer will need to seek expertise to implement
HIPAA compliant security measures. (American Dental
Association, 2016)D. Project Scope
Describe the scope of the project. The project scope establishes
the boundaries of the project. It identifies the limits of the
project and defines the deliverables.
· The requirements for the Integrated Team Project-1 involve
implementing an Information Technology network (LAN) for a
small dental clinic that will house 13 workers (4 Dentist, 3
Hygienist, 4 Assistants, 1 Bookkeeper and 1 Receptionist). The
customer has established a flexible budget of $150,000 with
latitude of increase with proper justification. The estimated
project completion will be approximately six months, barring
design changes, natural disasters and extension beyond the IT
project’s control.
· Patient records will be converted from hard copy files to an
on-sight electronic storage database. Such documentation will
include billing and insurance claims.
· Setup online-banking for payments (patient and practice
suppliers) and on-line appointment system for patients.
7. · Implementation of an IT system to process insurance billing
and claims.
· Only the Dentists will be equipped with his/her own
workstation to access necessary records for each patient. Two
additional workstations will be in installed, one for the
Bookkeeper and Receptionist to share a workstation to process
payments and insurance claims and another for the assistants to
access patient dental records.
· Dental office operations will be temporarily (7 days/one week)
interrupted while proper wiring and vetting is conducted to
commence installation of requisite IT systems.
List any requirements that are specifically excluded from the
scope.
· Furnishings for the new space to house the team of dentists,
hygienists, assistants, bookkeeper and receptionist.
· (*) The customer should seek expertise in implementing
security features to fully comply with such standards, as the
scope of the ITP-1 will not involve implementing HIPAA
compatible security features.
· Administration of applications that will be used to maintain
patient records, billing information and HIPAA requirements.
· Concluding the six-month IT project, the contractual duties
will be fulfilled. Any following support will require additional
agreements/contracts.
