2. Piping Engineering Coordinator for Basic Design, FEED and Preparation of EPC
Tender Documents for 3rd Stage of Development of KARANJ Gas Injection
Facilities Project.
The objective of the project, which is titled KARANJ III, is to increase oil recovery
from the oilfield by increasing flow and pressure of the injected gas to 1000
MMSCFD and 3500 psig respectively by establishing the required gas
compression/pipelines and revamping the existing facilities.
Position: as a senior piping Field Engineer from Dec. 2012 till 2013

Projects Involved Iran; Orumieh Combined Cycle Power Plant – IRAN
(3x162MW) Add-on Project
We started basic design of this project in Rome-Italy under supervision of Italian APS
Company.
The Orumieh Project is an EPC Add-on Project to convert existing six (6) simple
cycles Gas Turbine into three Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP). Each CCPP
unit contains of two heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), one Steam Turbine
including all necessary auxiliary systems, one cooling system with natural draft tower
(Heller type) and all necessary mechanical and electrical BOPs.
Position: as a Lead piping Engineer from Dec. 2008 till 2011

Project: KHARG: KHARG ISLAND GAS GHATERING & RECOVERY
PROJECT.
The project overall facilities and their interconnections are mainly Compressor
stations, Acid gas removal (AGR), Mercury removal, NGL recovery and NGL
fractionation, Acid gas injection (AGI), Product storage tanks and Jetty including
product loading facilities.

Project: BINAK: DESALTING AND WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT.
Binak desalting Plant is a site to isolate salt from salty oil that is located on west south
heights of Khuzestan province in Iran.
Desalting operations is done as electrostatic desalting method in this system and main
Part of the project includes two desalter units in 55000 BPD capacities and also the
salty water exploiting from oil after desalting is refined by a Waste Water Treatment
Unit and is injected to one of the dead oil wells of the region. The refined oil is
transferred to production unit again and is sent to be exploited.

Project: AMAK, 450 million USD (Consisting of 7 no of compressor stations, 280
km pipeline, AMINE plant, Liquid Sweetening plant, Sour water Stripper & Acid gas
compressor)
Following activities have been carried out:
• Preparation of piping study drawings.
• Stress analysis in AutoPipe for critical lines of compressor & air coolers.
• Electronic piping specification database generation, using PDMS
(PARAGON) AND AUTOPLANT (SPEC GENERATOR).
• 3D spec driven electronic modeling, using PDMS, AutoPLANT 3D.
• Generating fully dimensioned Piping Isometric Drawings complete with bills
of materials as taken from the 3D model, utilizing PDMS (ISODRAFT),
AUTOPLANT (AutoISOGEN).
• Creating piping General Arrangement Drawings (GAD) from the 3D model
complete with all dimensions and piping-instrumentation tags.
• Checking clashes in a 3D environment Walk-thru program and generating 3D
demonstrations for clients, using AUTOPLANT (EXPLORER ID) AND
