1. BBS 2116 V2
Capacity
One BBS 2116 V2 provides battery power to one
or two RBS cabinets.
Battery capacity is available in increments of
24V/100Ah up to 600Ah and -48 V/100 Ah up to
300 Ah inside the BBS 2216 V2 cabinet. For larger
capacities, an extension cabinet of the same size
can be added, which doubles the battery capacity.
The BBS2116 V2 is designed to supply +24 VDC
or -48 VDC power in the event of an AC mains
failure.
BBS 2116 V2 system is the recommended battery
backup solution for RBS 2116 V2 and RBS 3116.
BBS 2116 V2 is also compatible with RBS 2106,
2106i, 2106 V3, 2107, 3106 and 3101.

Cabinet design
The BBS 2116 V2 cabinet has the same size as
the RBS 2116 V2.
To ensure long battery life and low operational
cost in warm countries alternatively long backup
times in cold climates, the BBS 2116 V2 is
equipped with an optional heating and active
cooling system.
Supervision and Control
Battery charging and charge control is performed
by the Ericsson radio base station, its integrated
rectifiers and supporting control hardware.
The RBS 2116 V2 system automatically supervises
the battery discharge status and features separate
main load and priority load disconnect levels.
