INT.BATHROOM.DAY
Introduce Patrick
Patrick sits on the edge of the bed, staring into camera.
Expressionless, he is wearing his boxers and holding his
hands together
It cuts to Patrick in his bathroom, he splashes some hot
water over his face, again expressionless.
PATRICK (V/O)
Every morning when i wake up i devote
my time to washing my face. I use a
deep pore scrub which i wash away with
hot water.Next I use a strip to remove
and black or whiteheads that could of
formulated. I then splash my face with
cold water to close my pores. Next i
have a clean shave followed up by some
moisturising lotion, so my skin
appears youthful and not dried out.
INT.KITCHEN.DAY
We see a montage of Patrick having a cigarette and a coffee,
whilst making & eating breakfast.
INT. BEDROOM
Patrick lies in bed whilst listening to Classical music. Eyes
open staring at the ceiling. Patrick V/O whilst lying in bed.
Feeling invisible/ His urges about killing people are
explained
INT. BEDROOM
Patrick decides to get ready for tonight, pulls out a small
tin box from under the bed. He stares at the box for a second
before opening to reveal a perfectly rounded bunch of string.
Thick string nonetheless but string.
He takes it out and begins to slowly wrap it around his hand.
INT. HALLWAY
Patrick is tucking in his laces to the side of his shoes, he
never ties them.
EMILY
Hi Patrick! What you doing?

PATRICK
(V/O) My annoying sister is stressing
about tonight
EMILY
Are you out tonight?
PATRICK
Hey Emily, yeah just popping off now
but don't worry about it ill be back
for tea!
EMILY
Thanks Patrick, your the best, see ya
later
(V/O) I wonder what she would look
like if I kicked her teeth down her
throat.
Emily smiles and watches Patrick walk out the door.
EXT. AFT. TOP OF PRIMROSE HILL PARK
Patrick sits on a bench on Primrose Hill, he is chewing off
his finger nails to trim them and is being meticulous about
it. He lays out the strips of nails on the benches in a line.
PATRICK
(V/O) I didn't expect it to take this
long to find someone.
Patrick observes a man walk past with a dog.
PATRICK
(V/O) I like the younger ones, there's
something about taking a life that
hasn't run it's course yet...
We can see time passes, the lighting is now darker and the
street lamps in the park are now on.
We see a young lad walking through the park, headphones in.
He catches Patricks eye. Patrick smiles and stands. The man
stops to light a cigarette, he is lit by the street lamp.
The lighter isn't striking a flame and the man is trying
relentlessly to light his cigarette.
Patrick decides to make his move, and begins to run down the

hill towards the young man, eventually coming to a stop in a
state of panic in front of him.
The young man slightly suspicious of Patrick backs away
PATRICK
Mate..you have to help me, its my dog
he's...(Panting)
THE YOUNG MAN
what? what's happening.
PATRICK
I think my dog is choking, he's
swallowed something...please
THE YOUNG MAN
Alright alright, calm down, where is
he?
PATRICK
Follow me, he just over here
Patrick turns and runs towards a tree towards the top of the
hill, the young man just behind him.
PATRICK
He's just over here
Patrick makes it to the tree and goes around the side. The
young man turns the corner.
PATRICK
He's just over there
Patrick gestures towards a bush close by, the young man
passes him and Patrick has now slipped on his headphones.
Alfred Deller, "Hey ho, the wind and rain" begins to play
and takes over the scene.
THE YOUNG MAN
I dont see an-
He is cut off as Patrick wraps the string around his throat
and begins to suffocate the young man. There is a struggle
before falling to the ground. Patrick is lying on the ground
with the man on top of him. The young man desperately drags
at the rope trying to escape, Patrick leans further back to
tighten, the young mans flex's his feet desperately trying to
find an escape, Patrick pulls tighter when suddenly the rope
snaps. Air comes flowing into his lungs and the young man

elbows Patrick in his side, winding Patrick. Patrick
desperately tries to pull him back down but he manages to
escape and make some distance between them. Patrick is now
the one struggling for breath as he tries to climb to his
feet.
A headphone falls out Patrick's ear making the soundtrack
diegetic. He has lost his chance, the sudden realisation of
this starts to creep up on him as he watches his prey run
away from him. He grits his teeth in anger. Patrick has a
scream of anger and throws the rope in his hands on the
ground.
EXT. OUTSIDE OF PATRICKS HOUSE. NIGHT
Patrick walks towards the door of his house before stopping
and checking the time. He fixes his hair and adjusts his
clothes, he takes a deep breath in and a loud exhale.
Patrick slides his key through the door, and turns it slowly.
INT. HALLWAY.NIGHT
We can hear some hysterics from inside the living room. It
sounds like Emily's boyfriend Daniel has arrived and is
clearly shouting about something.
EMILY
Can you calm down please!
DANIEL
I can't fucking calm down! Are you not
hearing what I said!
Patrick moves through the hallway towards the noisy living
room, there is an expression on his face that shows an
unwillingness to put up with his brother.
Patrick starts to open the door, as the arguing continues.
INT. LIVING ROOM. NIGHT
EMILY
We should really call the police
Daniel!

Daniel is sitting on the couch head in hands facing away from
Patrick, Emily is sitting on the couch arm comforting him.
Patrick slowly edges into the room, observing the situation.
Emily turns and notices Patrick, she stands up immediately
and turns to Patrick.
EMILY
Pat, where have you been?
PATRICK
I have been o-
Daniel has now turned his head towards Patrick, Patrick
clocks him immediately and realises it's the young man who
escaped his murder attempt.
They lock eyes and Daniel stares shocked, Patrick, staring
coldly into Daniels eyes, before slowly smiling.
Fade to black.
(ALTERNATIVE ENDING BELOW)
They lock eyes and Daniel stares shocked, Patrick staring
coldly into Daniels eyes, before slowly smiling.
Fade to black.
Fade up on a CU of Patricks face, staring down, we see drips
of blood roll down his face as he pants, exhausted.
The camera begins to track out from Patrick and we see him
standing above the dead body of Daniel & his sister.
Feeling relieved and a sense of joy Patrick is left smiling.
