INT. JOSH’S BEDROOM - DAY2 2
The sound of gunfire...Neatly arranged shoes...Pens...Video
games. All in order, carefully arranged.
JOSH (17) relaxes on his bed playing video games.
His mobile rings. We see the name “TAMMY” on the screen. JOSH
pauses the game and answers.
JOSH
(into the phone)
Yeah? What’s new?...
INT. TAMMY’S BEDROOM - DAY3 3
TAMMY (16), blonde spiky hair and pretty, is on the phone (we
intercut as necessary).
TAMMY
Hey Josh, it’s Tammy. I’m going
away for a while and I wondered if
you could look after my dog?
JOSH’s face falls.
JOSH
You want me to look after your
dog?! You know how I feel about
dogs.
TAMMY
He’s very friendly. And I’ll make
it up to you, I promise...Take you
to a movie or something.
JOSH
Well just this once, yeah? But you
owe me big time!...
He hangs up. Pulls a face.
3. JOSH (CONT’D)
...A dog?!...
CUT TO:
INT. HALLWAY, JOSH’S APARTMENT BLOCK - DAY4 4
JOSH opens the door to his flat. He’s wearing thick gloves.
The hood of his hoodie is up, covering his hair, and his tee
shirt is pulled up over his face like a surgical mask.
He looks down at the floor and we REVERSE ANGLE TO REVEAL:
OSSIE, the cutest brown cocker spaniel you’ve ever seen.
OSSIE looks up at JOSH. Sweetly wags his tail.
JOSH is not impressed.
CUT TO:
INT. KITCHEN, JOSH’S FLAT - DAY5 5
JOSH carries a basket into the kitchen, followed by OSSIE who
continues to wag his tail. JOSH dumps the basket on the floor
and OSSIE obediently gets in it.
JOSH
(menacingly)
Now you stay right here!
OSSIE’s ears go back, terrified.
CUT TO:
INT. HALLWAY, JOSH’S APARTMENT - DAY6 6
JOSH walks down the hall...
INT. JOSH’S BEDROOM - CONTINUOUS7 7
...Into his bedroom. He pulls back the covers, gets into bed,
and turns off the light.
DISSOLVE TO:
INT. JOSH’S BEDROOM - MORNING8 8
It’s daylight. JOSH is still sleeping. The alarm on his phone
rings. JOSH turns it off and turns over to go back to sleep.
His hand dangles over the side of the bed. Suddenly, OSSIE
trots up and starts licking it.
JOSH jumps up, horrified.

Uurgh!!!!!!
He leaps out of bed and runs to the bathroom.
INT. BATHROOM - CONTINUOUS9 9
JOSH washes his hand under the tap. Turns to look at OSSIE
who is watching him, wagging his tail.
JOSH
Disgusting!!
CUT TO:
INT. TOILET - DAY10 10
JOSH is sitting on the toilet, reading a magazine. He lowers
the magazine and sees OSSIE sitting in front of him, watching
him.
JOSH, annoyed, slams the door.
CUT TO:
INT. KITCHEN, JOSH’S FLAT - DAY11 11
JOSH comes in. Gets himself some cereal in a bowl. He looks
down. OSSIE is there, watching him.
JOSH gives him a look as if to say ‘I suppose you want some
too.’
CUT TO:
INT. LIVING ROOM, JOSH’S FLAT - DAY12 12
JOSH comes out of the kitchen with two bowls of cereal. He
stops.
JOSH
You have got to be kidding me.
OSSIE is sitting at the table! JOSH goes over, sits down.
Pushes a bowl to OSSIE who eats it greedily.
CUT TO:
INT. LIVING ROOM, JOSH’S FLAT - LATER13 13
JOSH is putting on his trainers. One is missing.
JOSH
Where’s my shoe?

5. OSSIE comes out of the kitchen with the trainer in his mouth.
JOSH goes to grab it.
JOSH (CONT’D)
Give me the shoe!
OSSIE won’t let go.
JOSH (CONT’D)
Give me the shoe!!!
He tries to pull it away.
OSSIE holds on tight.
JOSH pulls with all his might...And OSSIE suddenly lets go,
sending JOSH flying backwards, out of the room.
OSSIE sits watching, wagging his tail, as off screen we hear
JOSH crashing and banging to the floor.
FADE OUT.
