2.  WHEN YOU PERFORM a Physical Assessment, you'll
use five techniques: Use them in sequence
1.Inspection
2.Palpation
3.Percussion
4.Auscultation
5.Endoscopy

3.  Inspection consists of visual examination of
the abdomen with note made of the shape of
the abdomen, skin abnormalities, abdominal
masses, and the movement of the abdominal
wall with respiration.

4.  Palpation is a method of feeling with the
fingers or hands during a physical
examination. The physician touches and feels
your body to examine the size, consistency,
texture, location, and tenderness of an organ
or body part.

5.  Percussion is a method of tapping body parts
with fingers, hands, or small instruments as
part of a physical examination. It is done to
determine fluid in body areas.

6.  Auscultation is the term for listening to the
internal sounds of the body, usually using a
stethoscope.
 It is performed for the purposes of examining
the circulatory system and respiratory system
(heart and breath sounds), as well as the
gastrointestinal system (bowel sounds).

7.  Endoscopy is a procedure that allows a
physician to view the inside of a person's
body. Doctors use it to diagnose diseases in
the following parts of the body Esophagus.
Stomach. Colon.
Colonoscopy Upper endoscopy
