Mohammad T. Barqawi has over 15 years of experience in civil engineering and structural engineering. He has designed, managed, and supervised many construction projects in Jordan, UAE, Yemen, and Australia. These projects include high-rise buildings, hotels, residential and commercial buildings, warehouses, and infrastructure. Barqawi holds a B.Sc. from the University of Jordan and a M.Sc. from the University of Jordan in structural engineering. He is currently working as a structural engineer in Australia, performing structural analysis and design using various software programs.

Mr. Barqawi has fifteen a (15) years’ experience in Civil Engineering, mainly in structural engineering
(design and construction), site supervision and construction management where he worked, during this
period, for many international Consultants, Project Managers and Contractors.
Mr. Barqawi had designed, managed, supervised and constructed successfully adopting always on-
time/on-budget philosophy for high rise towers and buildings, hotels, residential, offices and
commercial buildings, ware-houses, luxury villas, steel structure hangers, multi-floors composite
parking buildings, water structures, mobile-steel structures, deslination concrete plants, etc.
(Structural Engineering) My early practice focused on design works for many projects inside/outside
Jordan for companies mainly based in Jordan, Sigma and later Engicon (formerly JCE), during which my
experience of the relevant field widened to a Senior Structural Engineer (until 2004: 7 yrs).
(Structural Engineering/Construction Management) Following my graduation of master degree from
the University of Jordan in the field of structural engineering (specially in earthquake engineering and
dynamics of structures); I have been appointed as a Project/Structural Engineer supervising and
managing, as a part of Black and Veatch/CEC Construction Mangement, the desliantion plant project in
dead sea area with a budget of more than 125 million US$ (until 2006: 2 yrs).
(Project Management and Supervision) Then, Joined DAR Consult (U.A.E.) as a Project Manager
based at site for two huge projects; Johnson and Johnson Head quarter and Al-Salam Towers with a
budget of 40 milllion AED (11 million US$) and 1,000 million AED (270 million US$) respectively
(until 2009: 3.5 yrs).
(Project Management and Supervision) Later, joined DAR AL-HANDASAH as a Project Manager for
their projects in Yemen; Republic Guards Headquarter and President’s son villa projects added a real
different experience to my previous one where very special details and management skills were in need to
be adopted for a proper and successful project handing-over (until 2011: 2 yrs).
(Contract Management and Cost Control) After, worked with Tiger Contracting Company as a
Contract/Cost Manager for a project in Abu Dhabi for more than 1 year principally managing the
subcontractors contracts financially and contractually, assembling the claims (inlcuding the EOT claims)
and variations for client review and approval, managing all the cost analysis and control of the project,
composing all the project’s correspondences in belhaf of the projects manager, etc. (until 2012: 1 yr).
(Structural Engineering) Now, working with RSA Pty. Ltd. Australia as a Structural Engineer carrying
out structural analysis and design for different concrete and steel structures using multi-frame, Gass
Space and Tedds softwares based on the relevant australian relevant codes and/or standards (until now).
