A man meticulously prepares a meal in his kitchen, slicing meat with a hammer and cooking it with wine and seasoning. As he cooks, news reports can be heard in the background discussing recent murders where organs were removed and bodies were stuffed with newspaper. The man remains expressionless. He takes his elegant meal to the dining room to eat, pouring a thick, red sauce over the meat. Before eating, he peers outside and murmurs prayers with his eyes shut. The camera cuts to reveal a meat hammer and large stack of newspapers in the room. The man takes his first bite as the screen cuts to black, implying a sinister meaning behind his prepared meal.

Camera follows a man from behind as he approaches victim,
he is holding a metal meat hammer. His face is not visible
and he is dressed in all black. He lifts the hammer to the
air and swings at victims head. Upon impact there is a
smash cut to a the man popping a cork off a wine bottle.
5 INT.KITCHEN.DAY 5
The first title appears as a close up of the wine is
poured into a glass. Calm piano music begins to play. A
further shot reveals a man to be pouring the wine. He is
wearing a white/grey, buttoned up shirt with an apron
wrapped around his waist. His kitchen is organised and
symmetrical. Half of the wall is mounted with expensive
looking paintings, whilst the other half is a mix of
cupboards and draws as well as a stove, where a small pan
is being heated. The man begins to sip the wine as he
prepares his dinner. There are cuts between different
foods being made and quick shots of the scenery around his
apartment, furniture, paintings, utensils etc. to
establish the environment. This is also where the majority
of the opening credits will be displayed. He starts by
flattening an unknown meat with a hammer. A record player
is briefly shown to be playing the classical music. Next,
an above angle shot displays the meat being seasoned with
salt and pepper. A montage-like sequence will show the
meat being elegantly cooked in a pan with oil and garlic.
The man then adds wine from the bottle he was drinking
into the pan. The pan goes up in flames. A reflection of
the fire is shown in the man’s eyes. A news report will be
heard in the background, overlapping with the music,
talking about murders with organs being taken, the main
character’s expression remains emotionless. The music
begins to sound more eerie and mysterious. The pacing of
the scene quickens and extreme close-ups of his mouth and
eyes create a scary tone. When he has made his dinner, he
takes it on a silver tray into the dining room.

6 INT.DINING ROOM.DAY 6
An aerial view shows a table covered in white table cloth.
The man places the meal he has just cooked on the table as
credits continue to appear on the screen. The classical
music is now accompanied by eerie background noise to
build tension even more. He is sitting on the end of the
table in front of a window, the blinds are shut. Before
sitting down, the man peers through the blinds and admires
the view outside his secluded house. Next, He pours a
thick, blood-red sauce onto his meal, sits down and
prepares to eat. The news report will be heard again, this
time it talks about bodies being stuffed with
newspaper. The man is shown sitting still for a long time
before he eats, with his eyes shut, possibly praying.
There is an irony of him being a religious killer. The
camera cuts to a half open door, which slowly tracks in to
build tension. The music is silent now. There is now a cut
back to close up of his eyes and mouth murmuring prayers.
And another cut back to inside the room. Inside the room
will be the meat hammer which was used at the beginning of
the scene as well as a large stack of newspapers. The word
newspapers will echo in the background. He will then take
the first bite of his food. The music will then cut off
and the screen will cut to black. Classical music will
begin to play again quietly as the final title is shown.
