What’s Groupon? It is a group-coupon that is offered per day on our local market.
How Groupon Works? Get It Check your email, Facebook or Twitter feeds for daily deals on cool local businesses. 2. Share It Groupons are more fun when used with friends. Pass along deals by email or broadcast them to your social networks. 3. Enjoy It Print the voucher or bring it up on your mobile device, then present it at the business to get your deal.
Why Groupon? Exposure to new customers Effective and measurable marketing  No up-front fees Word of mouth
Objective: Groupon exposes business to new customers in their targeted demographic market who are not currently aware or interested in the business.  Because of the social aspect, these Groupon users are likely to bring with them non-Groupon users who will pay full price increasing the business’s profits and exposure to new customers.
Not all is perfect Risk of displacing full paying customer with negative margin customers. If the amount of coupons is not limited businesses might not be able to meet the demand. Some Groupon users are only looking for deals and they’re not loyal.
