Job Purpose
• Describes why the job exists and the essential end result the job will
produce in order to contribute in meeting the organisation’s or
division’s or department’s business objective.
• It is generally in the form of a single sentence and answers questions
such as:
– What part of the organisation's total purpose is accomplished by
this job?
(What does he/she do?)
– What is the unique contribution to the organisation?
