2. Character
The characters in a story are the people,
animals, or imaginary creatures that take
part in the action
In most stories, the events center around
one or two main (major) characters
Minor characters are other characters
who interact with the main character and
help move the story along
3. Dynamic and Static Characters
Dynamic characters change as a
result of events. An example of a
dynamic character is Elsa from
Frozen. Her heart changes over the
course of the movie.
Static characters remain unchanged.
An example of this is Hans. He never
changed throughout the movie.
4. Flat and Round Characters
A flat character is a character that the reader
only knows a little bit about his life or
personality. This character is very one
dimensional. Sheldon Cooper is an example of
a flat character.
A round character is a character that has been
fully developed by the author. The reader
knows much about the character’s personality,
thoughts and feelings. Katniss Everdeen is an
example of a round character.
