This study evaluated serum markers (IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α) as non-invasive diagnostic tools for endometriosis. The study included 37 women diagnosed with endometriosis via laparoscopy and 25 control women. Serum levels of IL-8 were significantly higher in women with endometriosis compared to controls. An IL-8 cut-off value of 0.78 pg/ml provided 70.3% sensitivity and 80% specificity for diagnosing endometriosis. TNF-α levels also differentiated cases from controls but with lower accuracy. The study suggests serum IL-8 and TNF-α may serve as non-invasive biomarkers for diagnosing endometriosis without invasive surgery.
