THE PRESENT SIMPLE
The Present Simple
   Is used to describe actions that happen
    regularly, as part of a routine, or habits.

    Ieat dinner every day
    You really like chocolate
    John plays football every Friday
    We usually go for a picnic on
     Sundays
The Present Simple
   Is used to talk about facts and things that
    never change

     Malta is an island
     In Summer it gets very hot
     When you heat up water it boils
     Children like playing with toys
The Present Simple

     He/She/It plays
     We play

     They play
The Present Simple
   The Negative is formed by using do not (don’t)
    or does not (doesn’t)


       I don’t like to play tennis
       Mary doesn’t like vegetables
       We don’t have a pet

     She ___________ to school by bus (go)
