Suvarnabhumi Airport is located 30 kilometers east of Bangkok. The airport has two parallel runways that are 60 meters wide and between 3,700 and 4,000 meters long. It can handle 76 flight operations per hour and process 45 million passengers and 3 million tons of cargo annually. The airport's large 563,000 square meter passenger terminal is the fourth biggest in the world and can currently handle 65 million passengers per year, but is expanding to increase its capacity further. The airport also has two five-story car park buildings that can accommodate 5,000 vehicles.
