The Department of Zoology was established in 1994 and offers undergraduate courses using a semester-based credit system introduced in 2013. It has two faculty members and technical staff, and is well-equipped with laboratories, specimens, and other resources to provide quality education. The department aims to develop well-rounded students and conserve biodiversity through classroom and practical learning supplemented by assignments, projects, and field visits. It also organizes various events and programs on topics like career counseling, health awareness, and science to foster student development. Future plans include more field visits, improving audiovisual facilities, and conservation awareness campaigns.
