Fadnavis urges to boycott rr patil for his 'rape after election' remark
1. Fadnavis urges to boycott RR Patil for his 'rape after
election' remark
Ex-Home Minister of Maharashtra RR Patil is again in the limelight for his callous and
crude comment against womenfolk. Earlier also, after three minor sisters' rape &
murder and Shakti Mills gang-rape with a 22-year-old photojournalist, Patil had
triggered controversy by his statement on June 11, 2014 that atrocities against women
cannot be curbed, even if a policeman is posted in every home.
Now, forwarding steps ahead in insensibility, Patil has stated on 11th Oct that rape is
fine, but MNS candidate could have committed it after elections. He made this shocking
and defamatory statement against women while addressing an election rally in Tasgaon.
Expressing rage over Patil's nasty remark, BJP Maharashtra President Devendra
Fadnavis stated that this very serious statement that too by an ex-Home Minister is
beyond imagination of any sane person. Such shameful statement is shame on State.
Lambasting Patil, Fadnavis demanded NCP to clarify its position on this statement.
While addressing public meetings in different constituencies of Nagpur district on 11th
Oct, Fadnavis urged the people, especially the women electorate, to teach Patil a lesson
by boycotting the badmouthed leader in Assembly election to be held on 15th Oct.
Fadnavis added that in Maharashtra, only 14% rapists are convicted. In this worst ever
law and order situation, such statements by a former Home Minister are highly
condemnable.
Arrogance of NCP leaders is unhidden to the people of Maharashtra. After 26/11
Mumbai terror attacks, Patil had commented, "In big cities like this, small things do
happen." Earlier, Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar had also ridiculed a farmer on 55
days hunger-strike by his filthy comment of urination in dam. His uncle Sharad Pawar
has also exhibited his callosity while opposing ban on cow slaughter calling it just the
disposal of old and useless animals.
