INTRODUCTION
 It is located in the modern city of New Delhi. It consists of 13 architectural
astronomical instruments. The site is one of five built by maharaja jai singh
2 of Jaipur, from 1724 onwards . Between 1727 and 1734 jai singh 2 built
five similar observatories in west-central India, all known by the name
Jantar Mantar. They are located at Jaipur , Ujjain, Mathura and Varanasi.

GROUP MEMBERS AT RAM-YANTRA
There are four instruments within the observatory of Jantar Mantar in
New Delhi:
the Samrat Yantra, the Ram Yantra, the Jayaprakash, and the Misra Yantra.
 Samrat Yantra: The Samrat Yantra, or Supreme Instrument, is a giant
triangle that is basically an equal hour sundial. It is 70 feet high, 114 feet
long at the base, and 10 feet thick. It has a 128-foot-long (39 m) hypotenuse
that is parallel to the Earth's axis and points toward the North Pole
 Jayaprakash Yantra: The Jayaprakash consists of hollowed out
hemispheres with markings on their concave surfaces . Crosswires were
stretched between points on their rim. From inside the Ram, an observer
could align the position of a star with various markings or a window's edge.
PURPOSE OF INDIVIDUAL STRUCTURES
 Misra Yantra: The Misra Yantra was designed as a tool to determine the shortest
and longest days of the year. The Mishra yantras were able to indicate when it
was noon in various cities all over the world. It could also be used to indicate the
exact moment of noon in various cities and locations regardless of their distance
from Delhi – quite remarkable!
 Ram Yantra- Ram Yantra in Jantar Mantar is the device used for measuring the
altitude of stars. It is a cylindrical instrument, consisting of two large buildings
open to the sky . This is an instrument by which we come to know the movement
of stars . From inside the Ram, an observer could align the position of a star with
various markings or a window's edge.
RALLIES AND PROTESTS AT JANTAR
MANTAR
1.UTTAR PRADESH HOMEGUARD
AVAITNIK ADHIKARI AND
KARAMCHARI ASSOCIATION
 There was a protest given by avaitnik adhikari at jantar mantar in new delhi
for some demands by homeguards of all states. Homeguards association is
formed by pandit jawharlal Nehru in 1962 for the rights of the homeguards.
Today in uttarpradesh there are about 1,17,000 homeguards who perform
their duties very well . But due to increase in corruption level and some
political disturbance in this association create difficulties for homeguards .
They don’t have their duties if they get then firstly they have to give Rs400
to 1200 in advance .
PRESIDENT -
MUZIB ANSARI
1. There should be 12 months duty of homeguards of all states.
2.There should be some changes in homeguards act 1962 and 1963.
3.There should be proper use of homeguards welfare fund and the age
limit of duty of homeguards should be 60 yrs.
4.The homeguards should provide medical facilities and health insurance.
5.The homeguards selected by state government in place of their private
servants.
6.Homeguards of all states should get advantage in reservation for 50%
C.M.D.
DEMANDS OF THE HOMEGUARDS ARE :
2.A PROTEST AGAINST PAKISTAN HIGH
COMMISONS UNLAWFUL
INTERFERENCE AND HARASSEMENT IN
INDIA
 WHAT IS THE REASON BEHIND THEIR PROTEST ?
 At first, Let's have a view over their past at Pakistan, having a big role in their
life.
 AT PAKISTAN - Both of them were human right activist and supporter of
people's movement in SINDH(PAK) . Due to these interrruption they were asked
to close down their organisation . The Institute for Social Movements (ISM) by
Pakistani intelligence agencies ISI and MI, and were forced to leave pakistan by
May 2012.
 They moved to Kathmandu, NEPAL on may 30,2012 and were granted the status
of refugee by UNHCR(Nepal) . However they managed to return back to
Pakistan where they were interfered in their medical treatment . Finally due to
pressure by human rights organisations they were allowed to travel outside
Pakistan. They were issued the medical visa by High Commission of India in
Islamabad .
ZULFIQUAR ALI SHAH and GHULAM FATIMA SHAH are human right
activists and journalist born and brought up in SINDH province, PAKISTAN
protesting in New Delhi,INDIA since October 14,2013 at Dharna Pradarshan,
 AT INDIA – They have applied for asylum at the Ministry of Home
Affairs(MHA). They were interfered in medical treatment at Moolchand, AIIMS,
Indian Spinal Injuries by Pakistan High Commison(PHC) due to which they were
unable to get the medical treatment for at least 5 months .
REASON FOR THEIR PROTEST ....
 PHC should not be allowed to interfere in their affairs because after conferred
upon to them the Refugee status by UNHCR . It should be ensured for their
protections and safety.
 They should be facilitating in opening of their bank account here in INDIA so
that they may be able to avail the financial resourses.
 Their asylum application should be considered with the soft eye. If refused, they
should be allowed legally to live in INDIA .

 1. To remove the restriction on the chemist to take new permission to
sell the food products .
 2. To make some changes in the law (keep record of every medicine
you sell )
3. UTTAR PRADESH CHEMIST &
DISTRIBUTERS ASSOCIATION (Regd)
REASONS FOR THEIR PROTEST
 India has a population of 130 crores and the medical facility of india is not very
good as we nearly 8 lac hospitals and in our country . Recently a new law has
been formed known as SCHEDULE H-1 by DTAB (DRUG TECHNICAL
ADVISORY BOARD) in which the chemist have to keep the records of the
patient's name , his / her address , doctor's name , hospital name , name of
the medicine , amount of medicine , manufacturer of medicine , batch no.
etc . The law also includes to take a new permit to sell the lactogen and any other
food item . Now the chemists owner asking how this can be possible to keep
records of detailed information .
 They are asking that when the prescription given by the doctor has everything in
it such patients name , adderess , age , date of treatment , type of disease etc then
why they have to keep every record . And when the companies have the
permission to manufacture the food items then why they have another licence .
They have sent a letter to the government to think over these issue again make
some decision otherwise they will go on a strike and thousands of people will get
effected through this strike .

LIST OF THOSE COMMON ANTIBIOTICS FOR
WHICH NEW LAW HAS BEEN FORMED
 GROUP OBSERVATION : We feel that they there are many different things in
our life on which we have to focus except education and playing . When we visit
jantar mantar we come to know that they don't have the technology but they
make jantar mantar to calculate time of different places with the help of the sun's
shadow . Then we visit in the rallies there we see that thousands of people are
protesting against the government on different issues which shows that our
government is not working properly . There are many political issues in our
country which have to be resolved . The main aim of today's generation is to
complete his/her education and get a good job but no one wants to enter in this
world and clear all this mess . To solve these political and general issues we all
have to get together and fight against it as a unit irrespective of caste, religion,
background etc .
OBSEVATION AND DISCUSSION
PERSONAL EXPERIENCES
YASH
I started my journey to jantar mantar from Ghaziabad. By taking one bus and auto I reached dilshad
garden metro station and from their I took a metro to kashmiri gate and then change metro from
kashmiri gate to patel chowk metro station. From metro station I walked for 12 or 14 minutes to reach
there . when I was going to jantar mantar from metro sation I saw that it was a very porsh area and so
clean than dilshad garden metro station. When I reached at jantar mantar I saw many big buildings
around the jantar manar palace like DLF . then I entered jantar mantar palace there are monuments
which was looking beautiful and when I got to know about these monuments from guide there I am
shocked and felt happy that in past we had such graet technology that by those structures people used
to calculate the directions , time and date of birth etc. then we went to the place where rallies and
dharna pradharshan going on . there are about 15 rallies and thoushands of people protested for their
rights which was very shameful to us that our indian constitution not working properly and many
people don’t get their righs in democratic country like india. We take interviews of many people there
and we came to know that they had been their since 3 or 5 years for their rights. So I think that there
should be some changes in our constitution and also these people get their rights and at last I enjoyed
their very much with my friends and also got oppurtnity to know the problems people facing in india
very closely and also some history of india.
GAGAN
I had a very great experience by visiting jantar mantar . In the older times the people make such
monuments which are used to calculate the time with the help of sunlight . This experience helped
me to understand the importance of our national heritage . But on the other hand the experience is
quite shocking when I come to know about some political issues of our country . There are
thousands of people protesting in different rallies for their rights . We personally take their
interviews by which we are able to understand their problems . They explain each and everything
in a much defined manner and also told us the steps they are going to take to accomplish their
protest . but after taking their interview I am thinking when we have the constitution and have
separate departments for everything then why these problems arises . By my observation I think
that there is a need for the improvement of our constitution and everyone should work in unity to
make a better India for the future generation .
RAJA
My personal experience
By travelling Metro, finely I have reached Jantar Mantar. After that I took ticket @ 5/-. When I entered
into Jantar – Mantar, then I know that Jantar Mantar is Machine, which showing Direction, Time etc.
This machine was made by Jai Singh II of Jaipur . This machine was made between 1724 and 1734.
There are four yantras - MishraYantra- showing time of different Country. Second is Samrat Yantra ,
third is Jayprakash Yantra and fourth one is ram yantra . Jantar Mntar showed that in past india had
great technology.
I find it very clearly, no dirty very calm. It is very good place to getting more knowledge. I spend
nearly 3hourse with my friends and do fun, watched all place of Jantar Mantar. After that we went
Dharana - Pradarshan out of Jantar – Mantar.
I enjoy very much there & get more knowledge about Indian history. After that I returned my home
by Metro.
MADHURESH MADHUKAR
I feel that they there are many different things in our life on which we have
to focus except education and playing . When we visit jantar mantar we
come to know that in older times the people were more intelligent and smart
then us , they don't have advanced technology but they made jantar mantar
to calculate time of different places with the help of the sun ray's shadow .
Then we visited to three different rallies where we see that hundreds of
unsatisfied people are protesting against the government on different issues
which shows that our government is not working properly There is a lot to
do instead of happy-go-lucky nature of now-a-days youth. Instead of
awareness opposing for unlawful decision with non-violence may make a
change and step towards a better future . We have experienced same
situation at Dharna Pradarshan, people were protesting for a change . To
solve these political and general issues we all have to get together and fight
against it in a unity irrespective of caste, religion or economic background .
 To control the situation the government to understand the problems of
the common people . They have to take some serious steps to deal
with these issues and make some changes in the laws for the
comfortability of the people . They have to suspend those officers
who are not perfforming their duties and interrupting others from
doing theirs . Their should some different department where people
get in the direct touch with the government and where there problems
are listened and solved within a less period of time .

  • 19. REASONS FOR THEIR PROTEST  India has a population of 130 crores and the medical facility of india is not very good as we nearly 8 lac hospitals and in our country . Recently a new law has been formed known as SCHEDULE H-1 by DTAB (DRUG TECHNICAL ADVISORY BOARD) in which the chemist have to keep the records of the patient's name , his / her address , doctor's name , hospital name , name of the medicine , amount of medicine , manufacturer of medicine , batch no. etc . • 21.  GROUP OBSERVATION : We feel that they there are many different things in our life on which we have to focus except education and playing . When we visit jantar mantar we come to know that they don't have the technology but they make jantar mantar to calculate time of different places with the help of the sun's shadow . Then we visit in the rallies there we see that thousands of people are protesting against the government on different issues which shows that our government is not working properly . There are many political issues in our country which have to be resolved . The main aim of today's generation is to complete his/her education and get a good job but no one wants to enter in this world and clear all this mess . To solve these political and general issues we all have to get together and fight against it as a unit irrespective of caste, religion, background etc . OBSEVATION AND DISCUSSION
  • 22. PERSONAL EXPERIENCES YASH I started my journey to jantar mantar from Ghaziabad. By taking one bus and auto I reached dilshad garden metro station and from their I took a metro to kashmiri gate and then change metro from kashmiri gate to patel chowk metro station. From metro station I walked for 12 or 14 minutes to reach there . when I was going to jantar mantar from metro sation I saw that it was a very porsh area and so clean than dilshad garden metro station. When I reached at jantar mantar I saw many big buildings around the jantar manar palace like DLF . then I entered jantar mantar palace there are monuments which was looking beautiful and when I got to know about these monuments from guide there I am shocked and felt happy that in past we had such graet technology that by those structures people used to calculate the directions , time and date of birth etc. then we went to the place where rallies and dharna pradharshan going on . there are about 15 rallies and thoushands of people protested for their rights which was very shameful to us that our indian constitution not working properly and many people don’t get their righs in democratic country like india. We take interviews of many people there and we came to know that they had been their since 3 or 5 years for their rights. So I think that there should be some changes in our constitution and also these people get their rights and at last I enjoyed their very much with my friends and also got oppurtnity to know the problems people facing in india very closely and also some history of india.
  • 23. GAGAN I had a very great experience by visiting jantar mantar . In the older times the people make such monuments which are used to calculate the time with the help of sunlight . This experience helped me to understand the importance of our national heritage . But on the other hand the experience is quite shocking when I come to know about some political issues of our country . There are thousands of people protesting in different rallies for their rights . We personally take their interviews by which we are able to understand their problems . They explain each and everything in a much defined manner and also told us the steps they are going to take to accomplish their protest . but after taking their interview I am thinking when we have the constitution and have separate departments for everything then why these problems arises . By my observation I think that there is a need for the improvement of our constitution and everyone should work in unity to make a better India for the future generation .
  • 24. RAJA My personal experience By travelling Metro, finely I have reached Jantar Mantar. After that I took ticket @ 5/-. When I entered into Jantar – Mantar, then I know that Jantar Mantar is Machine, which showing Direction, Time etc. This machine was made by Jai Singh II of Jaipur . This machine was made between 1724 and 1734. There are four yantras - MishraYantra- showing time of different Country. Second is Samrat Yantra , third is Jayprakash Yantra and fourth one is ram yantra . Jantar Mntar showed that in past india had great technology. I find it very clearly, no dirty very calm. It is very good place to getting more knowledge. I spend nearly 3hourse with my friends and do fun, watched all place of Jantar Mantar. After that we went Dharana - Pradarshan out of Jantar – Mantar. I enjoy very much there & get more knowledge about Indian history. After that I returned my home by Metro.

  • 29. MADHURESH MADHUKAR I feel that they there are many different things in our life on which we have to focus except education and playing . When we visit jantar mantar we come to know that in older times the people were more intelligent and smart then us , they don't have advanced technology but they made jantar mantar to calculate time of different places with the help of the sun ray's shadow . Then we visited to three different rallies where we see that hundreds of unsatisfied people are protesting against the government on different issues which shows that our government is not working properly There is a lot to do instead of happy-go-lucky nature of now-a-days youth. Instead of awareness opposing for unlawful decision with non-violence may make a change and step towards a better future . We have experienced same situation at Dharna Pradarshan, people were protesting for a change . To solve these political and general issues we all have to get together and fight against it in a unity irrespective of caste, religion or economic background .
  • 30.  To control the situation the government to understand the problems of the common people . They have to take some serious steps to deal with these issues and make some changes in the laws for the comfortability of the people . They have to suspend those officers who are not perfforming their duties and interrupting others from doing theirs . Their should some different department where people get in the direct touch with the government and where there problems are listened and solved within a less period of time . CONCLUSION
