The Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Institute (SEDI) was initiated by Ambuja Cement Ltd. to provide vocational training to school dropouts in Gujarat through its 14 training centers. SEDI in Kodinar offers short training programs lasting 2-6 months in industries like electrical, security, nursing, computers and housekeeping. It identifies candidates from local villages, provides counseling and job assistance. Over 320 trainees have enrolled with 89% getting wage or self employment after training placements in areas like industrial plants, hospitals and IT companies.

2. About “SEDI”
The Skill & Entrepreneurship Development
Institute (SEDI) was initiated by Ambuja
Cement Ltd. (ACl) under the CSR activity.
Till date, 14 SEDIs are functioning in 12
states of across the country with its
commitment to make a concrete, positive
difference in people’s lives has earmarked
livelihood generation as one of its key areas
of intervention.
Skill training is one way in which livelihood
options can be widened youth. SEDI is
working as a vocational training institute at
Kodinar, Gujarat.
