2. The Museum Of Bad Art is a private museum whose aim is "to celebrate the
labor of artists whose work would be displayed and appreciated in no other
forum. It is located in Sommerville, Massachusetts.
It is a museum entirely dedicated to the worst of art, or, as they like to put it,
they show “art too bad to be ignored”. Still, not all bad art can get there: it has
to be original and have serious intent, but it must also have significant flaws
without being boring.
It currently contains several hundreds of painting which vary from bad to
horrible. However, there have been some attempts at theft in the museum. To
protect it, the owners decided to put a fake camera and a sign saying:
“Warning. This gallery is protected by a fake security camera”. Surprisingly,
even after putting this warning, there has been another theft, but the
painting was returned.
