3. What do pelicans White eat ?
The pelican are piscivorous animals, de feeding fish.
They usually complete their diet with crustaceans, toads
and frogs, aquatic insects and small reptiles. During
periods of famine they can even feed on seagulls and
ducks.
4. Habitat and breeding
The common pelican is a resident in southeastern
Europe, Asia and Africa. Nests on large swampy areas
and river deltas. The best known areas are the Danube
Delta in Romania and the Walvis Bay in Namibia.
European pelicans usually migrate to Africa during the
winter months.
