Editor's Notes

  1. Going to talk about the Cloud and a combination of things are coming together to form a paradigm shift in IT and Business.
  2. The first hard disk drive was the IBM Model 350 Disk File that came with the IBM 305 RAMAC computer in 1956. Total storage capacity of 5 million characters (just under 5 MB). These days something comparable would be something like this but even the smallest one would have 50x the storage. Things are ever-evolving and the Cloud is just the latest evolution.
  3. All our yesterdays. When I joined this cycle was somewhere between Step 3 and Step 4. Approaching 30 years in the industry. Studied IT at College. When I started, things that seem strange now. Pigeon holes / In-trays / Memos. When we did get email, it was internal initially.
