PROJECT OBJECTIVE STATEMENT
Vodaphonica demand us to design the launch project of its new phone, before June 6th,
2017 with a budget of 1.000.000€.
PRIORITY MATRIX
SCHEDULE SCOPE RESOURCES
LEAST FLEXIBLE X
MODERATE
FLEXIBLE
X
MOST FLEXIBLE X
Justification
- Scope is the least flexible because the phone has to have a huge impact between
Vodaphonica’s managers and the market, so our team have to focus on getting the
best results.
- Resources is moderate flexible because even though we can research many
channels to make the project (such as Estudy, the excel sheets, university on-line
data, etc.) we must adapt it to the budget previously specified.
- Schedule is the most flexible. Although we only have 1 month and 3 days to prepare
it, we can organize together in order to finish the work in time.

PERT DIAGRAM
Timing
Deliverable 2.1- 1 day / Deliverable 2.2- 2 days / Deliverable 2.3- 1 day
Deliverable 2.4- 2 days / Deliverable 3.1, 3.2- 1 day / Deliverable 3.3- 1 day
Deliverable 3.4- 2 days / Deliverable 4.1- 12 hours / Deliverable 4.2- 3 hours
Deliverable 4.3- 5 days
Explanation
Doing the PERT diagram, we were able to estimate our project schedule, in order to keep
doing deliverables on time for the project deadline. We find out four critical paths in our
project, which are the following deliverables:
- Deliverable 2.3- Customer target: We think that is a critical path of our project
because is essential to know which are our more potential customers in order to
create marketing strategies, so we couldn’t lose time in this deliverable.
- Deliverable 2.2- Costs & price: The critical path here is important because a
good costs & pricing policy can bring our product to a huge profit margin. So we
couldn’t lose time here too, because we did have to analyze different options of costs
& prices.
- Deliverable 3.3- As we had only a month to do our project, the early birds
distribution needed to occur at time, in order to let the beta-testers test our product
and have time to receive feedback.
- Deliverable 3.4- Feedback is one of the key points in this project, so we
needed on time in order to search for improvements before the project deadline.

RESPONSE PLAN TO RISKS
Risk-Do not arrive to the profit margin required
Prevention- Revise excel power points on Estudy to refresh formulas. Identify any wrong
formulas in our excel sheet.
Contingency plan- Look for product suppliers and try to reduce costs. Redo excel sheets.
Risk- Early birds don’t receive their phones
Prevention- Call early birds the day of sending the phones to them, keep in contact with
them. Ensure the devices with a delivery company.
Contingency plan- As we need the beta-testers opinions, we might send another round of
devices to them, if they don’t arrive.
Risk- Google Drive system fails
Prevention- Make a copy of all the files on a USB in all project members.
Contingency plan- Contact with google client services if they are able to recover the project
files.
Risk- Do not receive feedback
Prevention- Keep in contact with beta-testers, explain to them that we have a project
deadline and we need feedback before it.
Contingency plan- Send e-mails every day until we reach a communication about the
device feedback.
Risk- Customer target is wrong
Prevention- Revise excel formulas and excel sheets done. Ask to teachers if there is any
fail.
Contingency plan- Redo excel sheets. Assume the wrong target and try to create a focused
marketing strategy around them.
