Shoot One:
Equipment: The 600D offers a number of Creative Filter Effects that can
be applied to Raw and JPEG files post-capture. This means I
can easily apply effects to filming whilst on shooting
location. There is also a pop-up flash which enables
different lighting effects, good for when filming in dark
places or minimal light. the exposure is easy to increase to
help create an eerie effect whilst filming in the dark. There
is also an automatic depth-of-field and there is also a
setting for automated slow-motion. This would be good to
see how the film would look in slow motion if I was already
out on location with no editing software.

4. When walking around Hull's Old Town, I came across some
old-fashioned new flats. I felt like this had a Victorian-era feel
about it due to the ornate window frames and balconies. This
also reminded me of the mise-en-scene in Oliver Twist - this
being due to the tall elongated building. I felt as if an urban
environment would be more realistic for a indie/niche music
video as they are usually made on a low budget and wouldn't
be able to afford location/studio setting in a prestigious area.
This second setting is next to Hull's Marina - this is not far from
Hull's Old town, therefore, it will be easy to edit clips from the
old town to the marina. I liked the setting as it was dark and
the lights on the water made the cinematography look very
mysterious. This location is very eerie and quite scary as there
is not much artificial light, hence why the flash was used.
This photograph is taken from the boat port very close to the
marina. Within this scene, my actress is on her way to Location
Two. This is a long strip of boats and therefore panning can be
used effectively when my subject is travelling from location to
location. This either will be on a bike or by foot.
