Back by popular demand! If you were not able to get into the Build-A-
Birdhouse class last semester, you will have another chance this
semester. Gene Chism will return to lead the class in construction of the
birdhouse (an inside decorative item). He will have kits prepared with
wood pieces which are pre-cut, pre-sanded, and pre-drilled (saving you a
lot of labor). All class participants will need to do is to assemble the
birdhouse. Once assembled, "painting coach" Linda Gabrielson will be
there to discuss applying the basecoat and thoughts on design.
Build A Birdhouse
Participants will need to register (class is limited to 15 students) and
17647 24-Mar Thurs 1:30-3:30

Gene Chism
to provide their own acrylic paints and brushes necessary to complete
their artistic vision. Paints and brushes are readily available at local craft
stores.

The fact and existence of evil has puzzled philosophers since the
beginning of time. In this lecture we continue the time honored discussion
On Evil and Others by reflecting on Saint Augustine's solution to the problem of evil and
raising a number of key questions. After reflecting on the manifestation of
17650 25-Mar Fri 10:00-11:30
Assoc Prof Philosophy evil, we come to realize that evil seems only to exist within inter-subjective
Mark Thorsby communities. By pulling this insight together with that of Augustine we will
be in a much better position to understand not only why but how evil exits
in the world.
