Are you a teenager who wants to give
back to the community, do you feel like
you’re becoming a teenage couch potato?
Well, this activity is the one for you! Noth-
ing but a basis knowledge of the game
would be necessary. This activity is primari-
ly aimed at high school students/ young
adults who are willing to get out and get
active while giving back to the local com-
munity. This activity promotes connected-
ness within the Wentworth Point community
and shows that you can get a positive out-
come by connecting students of many dif-
ferent ages. Sign ups will be on the 21st
June so come along to the Wentworth
Oval. Commitment to training and games
is non negotiable. The more the merrier!
This is your change to be an admirable
sports figure in a little boy/ girl’s life.

2. Do you have an unfound singing voice? Or
even if you are just up for some fun even
though you sing like a strangled cat? Then
come along to ‘Community Karaoke’! Com-
munity Karaoke will take place in the com-
munity centre every Thursday, Friday and
Saturday with different time slots each night
to suit different peoples/ families needs.
There will be an entry fee of $3 due to the
provision of the karaoke set, cordial and the
hire of the hall. OR, you are able to purchase
an $10 monthly membership which will save
you a few penny's. Community karaoke is a
great way to get involved in the community
and team up with some old or even new
found friends- doesn’t matter if your not the
best singer! Come along for some laughs, it
is a great opportunity to make new friends
within the Wentworth Point community– oh
and for some 21st videos!
Community Karaoke
Do you want to be more involved in your
local community? Well, from now on in
Wentworth Point there is going to be a
‘CRC (Community Representative Com-
munity) .’ The CRC will be suggesting
ideas within themselves to develop the
Wentworth Point community further and
improve the connections within the commu-
nity and then promote these ideas to the
rest of the community. The CRC will also
be responsible for organizing things like
hiring out the hall and locations for com-
munity events and provision of things like
cordial for specific events (with the fi-
nances provided). The CRC is a great
way for parents, young students and even
grandparents to get involved in their
community and give back to hopefully
improve Wentworth Point for future gen-
erations. It is also a great opportunity to
make some lifelong friends. Sign ups will
be held on the 19th June at the Communi-
ty Centre but please feel free to call
Jackie on 9659483 to enquire and put
your name down. Hope to see you there!
Get ready for some friendly family rivalry
with the FAMILY CAKE DECORATING!
Please note that there is a fee of $7 due
to the provision of the cake, lollies and ic-
ing and the hire of the community hall.
Get involved with your family, there can
be whoever in the family, cousins,
aunties, uncles, grandparents, parents
and even great grandparents, as long as it
forms a team of 5! Family cake decorating
will take place every fortnight on a Fri-
day and Saturday with different time
slots to suit different people (see timeta-
ble). This workshop is a great way to
learn some new skills and have some fun
with your family and also to meet families
similar to yours in the area.
