Social illness

  1. 1. By : Group 5 9 – Saint Joseph
  2. 2. Is bullying that takes place using electronic devices and equipment, including cell phones, computers, and tablets.
  3. 3. Internet Analysts offer various reasons for the pervasiveness of cyber- bullying. Some see the behavior as an online version of the teasing and cruelty that commonly exist in schools. Others point out that the Internet offers anonymity to bullies, while simultaneously providing them with the opportunity to reach a huge audience. Lack of Education Parents should talk with their children about computer ethics, st ipulate rules of conduct, and—most importantly— establish computer consequences. They should instruct their chil dren never to share their passwords or fight with someone online.
  4. 4. Educate yourself To prevent cyber-bullying from occurring you must understand exactly what it is. Research what constitutes cyber-bullying, as well as how and where it is most likely to occur. Talk to your friends about what they are seeing and experiencing. Pause before you post Do not post anything that may compromise your reputation. People will judge you based on how you appear to them online. They will also give or deny you opportunities based on this. Protect your password Safeguard your password and other private information from prying eyes. Never leave passwords or other identifying information where others can see it. Also, never give out this information to anyone, even your best friend. If others know it, take the time to change it now!
  5. 5. sexual arousal using computer technology, especially by wearing virtual reality equipment via the Internet.
  6. 6. One of the causes for growth in cybersex addiction is dramatically increased accessibility to online resources. The recovery process from cybersex addiction, as with all addictions, begins with surrender and acceptance of the problem, and to seek help from an expert.
  7. 7. a dishonest way to make money by deceiving people.
  8. 8. People scam to make money. They either ignore the moral side of things or are unable to relate to social or humanitarian responsibility altogether, thus demonstrating indifference towards others in the name of entitlement. To minimize the chances of your email ID being misused, never therefore give out your email ID publicly. If your email ID does get spoofed, you have to look at one of the bounced emails and see if you can identify the IP address in the email's headers, and then contact the ISP and hope they help you. Not much else we can do I suppose
  9. 9. the imposition of strenuous, often humiliating, tasks as part of a program of rigorous physical training and initiation.
  10. 10. Conforming and Obeying Authority Cognitive Dissonance- Abuse = Abuse | Cycles of Abuse- Acceptance comes at a High Price | Self-Esteem Ignorance to Alternative Choices Schools need to bring in independent surveyors to find out who has been a victim of hazing and start group therapy sessions for those victims of abuse. In order to stop hazing individuals must know what to do when they hear or witness acts of hazing and how to go about acting against such events. Partaking in community service and team building activities, for example, are positive and effective ways to bring unity amongst new and old group members.
  11. 11. Human trafficking is the trade in humans, most commonly for the purpose of sexual slavery forced labor or commercial sexual expoliation for the trafficker or others
  12. 12. Illegal logging is the harvest, transportation, purchase or sale of timber in violation of laws.
  13. 13. Bullying is the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuse, intimidate, or aggressively impose domination over others. The behavior is often repeated and habitual.
  14. 14. Juvenile delinquency, also known as juvenile offending, or youth crime, is participation in illegal behavior by minors (juveniles). a person who is typically under the age of 18 and commits an act that otherwise would have been charged as a crime if they were an adult.
  15. 15. Pornography is the portrayal of sexual subject matter for the purpose of sexual arousal. Pornography may be presented in a variety of media, including books, magazines , postcards, photographs, sculpture, drawing, painting, animation, sound, recording, film, video, and video games
  16. 16. Causes: Pleasure Money Fame Prevention Make the Decision to Stop -Think carefully about why you want to avoid online pornography - Make a promise to yourself that you will try not to watch pornography - Do your best to keep your promise - Look at yourself in the mirror.
  17. 17. Child abuse is the physical, sexual or emotional maltreatment or neglect of a child or children. It includes a variety of behaviors ranging from simple neglect to physical or sexual assault to willful murder
  18. 18. Lack of education, Serious marital problem, Frequent changes of addresses, Violence between family members, Lack of support from the extended family, Loneliness and social isolation, and Inadequate housing The acceptance of peers and positive influences such as teachers, mentors and role models Families who can meet their own basic needs for food, clothing, housing and transportation and know how to access essential services such as childcare, health care and mental health services
  19. 19. Poverty is general scarcity or dearth, or the state of one who lacks a certain amount of material possessions or money.
  20. 20. Premarital sex is sexual activity practiced by persons who are unmarried. There were no considerations that one who had sex would not marry. The term was used instead of fornication, due to the negative connotations of the latter.
  21. 21. Alcohol and other drugs are powerful substances with a potential to harm users or to tempt them into over-indulgence, so it is important to take care of yourself when considering using them and to avoid taking any risks which you might regret later.
  22. 22. Influence from friends, curiosity, Family or Emotional problems. Close filial bond, proper environment and proper knowledge of the consequences.
  23. 23. Pollution is the introduction of contains into the natural environment that cause adverse change.[Pollution can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat or light.
