Origin : South-East Asia 
(Philippines, Indonesia)
 5-7 cm long 
 6 petals 
 Green- light dull yellow 
 Matured-fragrant 
 Curly/wavy
 Woody 
 Bark- smooth, 
- pale green/silvery 
 Branches- drooping 
- brittles
 Simple 
 Alternate 
 Lateral veins 
 Leaf blade: ovate oblong
 Tap roots
 Pendulous 
 Globose-obovoid monocarps 
 1-2cm long on stalk 
 Seed- flattened 
 Young-green 
 Ripe-blackish
 Temperature : 21-27 ℃ 
 Soil -light, well drainage 
-fertile sandy soil 
-avoid alkaline or saline 
 pH : 5.6-6.5 (acidic) 
 Water
 2 types: 
1. seeds/wilding 
# direct sowing 
- seedbed :50% sandy soil and 50% compost 
-5cm deep 
-fresh seed germinate erratically 
-hot water treatment : 60℃ 
-transfer to polyethelyne bag 
-permanent area (20-30cm)
2. Vegetative 
# stem cutting and budding 
-raised in nursery 
-avoid damage of long taproot 
(transplanting) 
-daily watering for first 2 weeks 
- regularly watering
 Fertilizer-once a month (blooming) 
-Miracle-Gro (nursery) 
-Miracid 
 Pest -leaf borers 
-flower eating beetles 
 Avoid large differences in temperature
