2. Media convergence is how
production companies use a
variety of media to display their
product.
Magazine companies own a print
version, a website and a Facebook
page.
News companies can often have
newspaper companies (like the
BBC) have a print version, a
television programme
(Sometimes), a Facebook page, a
website, radio station and an app.
Cross media convergence is
usually possible because of
technological convergence.
3. Technological is how technology
allows media texts to be
produced and distributed on
multiple media devices. The
move from film to digital means
phones/iPhones/iPads/laptops
etc. can be used to show to and
market film specifically because
film takes up too much space
and time but digital storage can
be tiny. The devices are
converging and are able to fulfil
all demands on one device.
This movement has been pushed
in the digital age as phones
become more mobile and as
laptops turn into iPad. What was
once a computer is now an
iPhone.

4. Some people believe digitalisation to be
“Integration of digital technologies into
everyday life by the digitization of
everything that can be digitized”
The new Apple watch is an example of
digitalization at its best where
technology has taken an ordinary watch
and introduced technology into it with
phone capabilities, messaging, and
even internet capabilities.
The company was able to get rid of
many of its filing cabinets, because the
new computer system allowed for the
digitalization of its company records.
(this is done most often in companies
to improve work flow and to increase
the amount of information but lower
the space taken up in a physical world.
