2. DEFINITION
• Past simple :the form of a verb used
to describe an action that happened before
the present time and is no longer happening. It
is usually made by adding -ed

REGULAR
•All regular past tense verbs end in ED
Example:

•Live-lived
•Stay-stayed
IRREGULAR
•Some verbs have irregular past tense
forms
Example:
•Go-went
•Be-was/were
•do-did
