Research Center, we have discovered
great synergy in our respective efforts
for supporting agency performance.
These include APHSA’s efforts to help
agencies progress through stages of
the Health and Human Services Value
Curve, and CBHR’s efforts to help
agencies improve by addressing their
organizations’ cultures and climates.
The Value Curve is a lens—a way of
looking at what we do from the point
of view of our consumers—and its
four levels represent ways of engaging
consumers and their communities
that result in greater impact as orga-
nizations move up the Value Curve.
At the first level, called the regula-
tive level, the key word is “integrity.”
Consumers receive a product or service
that is timely, accurate, cost effective,
and easy to understand. Next, at the
collaborative level, the key word is
“service.” Consumers have an easier
time of it when they “walk through
a single door” and have access to a
more complete array of products and
services because programs, and even
jurisdictions, are collaborating to make
it happen for them.
At the integrative level, the key term
is “root causes.” Products and services
are designed using consumers’ input
so that we address their true needs
and even begin to reach “upstream” to
address causal problems rather than
“treating the symptoms.” At the gen-
erative level, the key term is “bigger
than the family.” Root- cause analysis
is done at a “population-wide level,”
resulting in prevention strategies and
other forms of support broader than
those an individual or family would
receive directly.1
Organizational culture and climate
is another potent lens that human
service organizations can use to look
at their performance and improve
their outcomes. APHSA’s partners at
CBHR have been building that case for
more than 20 years, demonstrating the
substantial impact of organizational
culture and climate on the effective-
ness of human services.2 Their work
demonstrates that: (1) human service
agencies vary widely in their organi-
zational culture and climate profiles,
(2) agencies with positive profiles have
substantially better outcomes, and (3)
agencies can improve their turnover,
EBP/EBT implementation, client, and
other outcomes through strategies that
improve their cultures and climates.

To notify diverse organizations, regarding the aspect of needs assessment and human service leadership.
General Purpose:
The main goal of this research is looking at economic changes in human service which are the leadership crisis, which explains the decrees of experienced leaders wanting to work in a nonprofit organization setting. Research has discovered that the workers in human services do not want to transition into upper management positions (Watson &Hoefer, 2014). Other economic changes in human services depend on leaders being diverse and relatable to all races, genders, and ages in the workplace.
Thesis Statement:
According to our (Lu, 2013), research reveals political and pragmatic forces outweigh economic rationality in human service contracting decisions. Government contracted human service programs can pose a threat to government employees by causing job loss and wage reductions.
Introduction
Government contracting is heavily influenced by different groups of actors within the government such as public employees, who can influence the government contracting decisions. Nonprofit organizations can serve local communities better than government agencies. Also, at times, the demand for human services outweighs what the government contract provisions for, and the government cannot satisfy or meet the needs of everyone. Lu also revealed that states with stronger non-profit advocacy are more likely to contract out their human service production.
A more open-ended approach is to use the Internet so that people can describe what they like if they are current consumers or what services they would like if they were to use your program in the future. Provide an easily accessible part of the website for people to request more information or for making suggestions about your services. Also, make sure that someone responds on a daily basis. A word of caution: do not over-rely on the Internet to obtain feedback on your services. Not all of your consumers can access the Internet, and be mindful that overusing Internet surveys can be perceived as pestering.

Abstract
"Internships have significant early career advantages for undergraduates including less time finding a first employment position, increased monetary compensation and greater overall job satisfaction. Considerable professional and scholarly evidence highlights the important role of undergraduate internships, as well as gaps that exist between students and supervisors regarding the relative importance of specific job skills and professional characteristics. While previous studies have explored the underlying feelings and expectations of the two groups in professional and academic contexts, this exploratory case study uses coorientation as the theoretical framework to examine the levels of agreement, congruency and accuracy that exist between them in relation to key jobs skills and professional characteristics linked with career success; it also provides insight into the extent to which respondents perceive that the internship improved students’ college-learning outcomes. The key findings of this study indicate that the majority of respondents believed that the experience improved performance in relation to college learning outcomes. The study also found that students and supervisors are accurately cooriented with one another in relation to job skills items, but less so when it comes to professional characteristics. This could be particularly problematic for student interns as misperceptions and misunderstanding can potentially lead to missed opportunities for collaboration and integration, and/or a self-fulfilling prophecy where supervisors’ lack of coorientation damages the possibility of a cooperative relationship with current and future student interns, and the academic programs that bring them together."Less Ivory Tower - more real world

The presentation attempts to make the case that Employee engagement drives both better customer experience and greater profit margins. What’s more, it’s essential for companies that want to sustain customer experience success over time.
Customer experience — its relationship to loyalty and satisfaction and the likelihood that it will lead to future business — is now a well-established discipline. However, measuring workforce experience is more complicated because no one owns the experience from end to end.

The key drivers of engagement that led to customer focus were cohesiveness among employees and a commitment to quality work. great synergy in our respective efforts
for supporting agency performance.
These include APHSA’s efforts to help
agencies progress through stages of
the Health and Human Services Value
Curve, and CBHR’s efforts to help
agencies improve by addressing their
organizations’ cultures and climates.
The Value Curve is a lens—a way of
looking at what we do from the point
of view of our consumers—and its
four levels represent ways of engaging
consumers and their communities
that result in greater impact as orga-
nizations move up the Value Curve.
At the first level, called the regula-
tive level, the key word is “integrity.”
Consumers receive a product or service
that is timely, accurate, cost effective,
and easy to understand. Next, at the
collaborative level, the key word is
“service.” Consumers have an easier
time of it when they “walk through
a single door” and have access to a
more complete array of products and
services because programs, and even
jurisdictions, are collaborating to make
it happen for them.
At the integrative level, the key term
is “root causes.” Products and services
are designed using consumers’ input
so that we address their true needs
and even begin to reach “upstream” to
address causal problems rather than
“treating the symptoms.” At the gen-
erative level, the key term is “bigger
than the family.” Root- cause analysis
is done at a “population-wide level,”
resulting in prevention strategies and
other forms of support broader than
those an individual or family would
receive directly.1
Organizational culture and climate
is another potent lens that human
service organizations can use to look
at their performance and improve
their outcomes. APHSA’s partners at
CBHR have been building that case for
more than 20 years, demonstrating the
substantial impact of organizational
culture and climate on the effective-
ness of human services.2 Their work
demonstrates that: (1) human service
agencies vary widely in their organi-
zational culture and climate profiles,
(2) agencies with positive profiles have
substantially better outcomes, and (3)
agencies can improve their turnover,
EBP/EBT implementation, client, and
other outcomes through strategies that
improve their cultures and climates.

To notify diverse organizations, regarding the aspect of needs assessment and human service leadership.
General Purpose:
The main goal of this research is looking at economic changes in human service which are the leadership crisis, which explains the decrees of experienced leaders wanting to work in a nonprofit organization setting. Research has discovered that the workers in human services do not want to transition into upper management positions (Watson &Hoefer, 2014). Other economic changes in human services depend on leaders being diverse and relatable to all races, genders, and ages in the workplace.
Thesis Statement:
According to our (Lu, 2013), research reveals political and pragmatic forces outweigh economic rationality in human service contracting decisions. Government contracted human service programs can pose a threat to government employees by causing job loss and wage reductions.
Introduction
Government contracting is heavily influenced by different groups of actors within the government such as public employees, who can influence the government contracting decisions. Nonprofit organizations can serve local communities better than government agencies. Also, at times, the demand for human services outweighs what the government contract provisions for, and the government cannot satisfy or meet the needs of everyone. Lu also revealed that states with stronger non-profit advocacy are more likely to contract out their human service production.
A more open-ended approach is to use the Internet so that people can describe what they like if they are current consumers or what services they would like if they were to use your program in the future. Provide an easily accessible part of the website for people to request more information or for making suggestions about your services. Also, make sure that someone responds on a daily basis. A word of caution: do not over-rely on the Internet to obtain feedback on your services. Not all of your consumers can access the Internet, and be mindful that overusing Internet surveys can be perceived as pestering.

Abstract
"Internships have significant early career advantages for undergraduates including less time finding a first employment position, increased monetary compensation and greater overall job satisfaction. Considerable professional and scholarly evidence highlights the important role of undergraduate internships, as well as gaps that exist between students and supervisors regarding the relative importance of specific job skills and professional characteristics. While previous studies have explored the underlying feelings and expectations of the two groups in professional and academic contexts, this exploratory case study uses coorientation as the theoretical framework to examine the levels of agreement, congruency and accuracy that exist between them in relation to key jobs skills and professional characteristics linked with career success; it also provides insight into the extent to which respondents perceive that the internship improved students’ college-learning outcomes. The key findings of this study indicate that the majority of respondents believed that the experience improved performance in relation to college learning outcomes. The study also found that students and supervisors are accurately cooriented with one another in relation to job skills items, but less so when it comes to professional characteristics. This could be particularly problematic for student interns as misperceptions and misunderstanding can potentially lead to missed opportunities for collaboration and integration, and/or a self-fulfilling prophecy where supervisors’ lack of coorientation damages the possibility of a cooperative relationship with current and future student interns, and the academic programs that bring them together."Less Ivory Tower - more real world

On the surface, it seems only natural to engage employees in a business's efforts to demonstrate its commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen. At the same time, effectively incorporating EVP into CR efforts is hardly an easy task. This dynamic creates an opportunity to further explore the reasons behind CR professionals taking on EVP efforts and gaining a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities presented by such combined undertakings.
Junior Achievement (JA) is one of the world's leading nonprofit economic education organizations. Our programs promote concepts related to financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship to more than 4.8 million students in grades K-12 each year. Wendy Yvonne Nomathemba Luhabe is considered a woman of vision. Pioneering the way for
women in South Africa her story is one of a leader with exceptional qualities. Based in Gauteng,
her life story begins with a decision to make a difference. After gaining ten years of national and
international corporate experience at BMW South Africa and North America, in 1990, Wendy
Luhabe decided to break away and venture out on her own. With limited entrepreneurial know-
how, no office, no clientele and little funding, she set out with a vision to pioneer the way for a
smoother transition for young black South African's to enter into the workplace. Today, Wendy
Luhabe has established herself as a prominent figure in South Africa and has been labelled a
natural leader. 'I always challenge myself beyond what is ordinary. I generate pioneering
business ideas and find competent people to build a business around my ideas.' Understanding
what set her apart, she founded Wiphold: Women Investment Portfolio Holdings, Bridging the
Gap and the Women Private Equity Fund. She wrote Defining Moments: Experiences of Black
Executives in South Africa's Workplace and established the Wendy Luhabe Foundation.
Beginning small, in 1991 Wendy Luhabe founded Bridging the Gap; a consulting company. Her
goal was to empower young black South Africans by preparing them for entry into the world of
work. 'The point is that when they leave university they don't leave as victims who approach a
company and expect a favour in the form of a job,' says Luhabe (Ransdell 1995). Students were
given the opportunity to partake in a variety of lessons, ranging from seminars teaching
interview techniques and formalities to analytical studies of the South African economy. Whilst
empowering young black persons, she decided to empower white 'middle' managers as well.
Wendy Luhabe depicted that the white 'middle' manager tended to be most change-resistant
towards diversity in the workplace. Through empowering these white 'middle' managers she
opened up an entire new arena of helpful strategies on how to simply discuss issues such as poor
communication that was taking place between the employer and the employee. A combination of
persistence and passion helped put Bridging the Gap on the map, and today it is a successful
international recruitment agency. Broadening her horizons she founded Women Investment
Portfolio Holdings in 1994. Dedicating itself to the empowerment of women, this transformed
hos women participated in the economic sector in South Africa. This was the country.
