Multiculturalism and It’s Effect
Some of the immigrants tend to change their values, culture and language because they only migrated from their original country to a country where they want to live in and continue their lives. Keeping One’s identity requires strong and smart personality .Immigrants should keep their culture and the values whenever they move on to another country for two reasons. People should at least be more confident and proud of where they came from and show other people from the foreign countries their teaching and values and as well our teaching.
People should be proud of wherever they come from. Some of them feel may less confident when someone asks them about their original country because they feel like they will not fit into the new society if they tell them and sometimes they feel embarrassed about it. Moreover, it takes lots of years to transform and try to be another person, and that is not an easy task to do, to change the identity that you were born with. Everyone has the right to do anything that they want and be free but of course there is a limit. It’s now been a year since I started studying in the United States, and I didn’t change the culture and values that I got from my country; others fail to retain their values. So, it’s a thing that also depends on the people and how they think. Changing the person you are isn’t going to help you to interact in the culture and be part of it.
Furthermore, teaching the people your customs and values is important to give them a background about the civilization that you came from, in another words, to be an ambassador for your country. Not a real ambassador, but the way you talk to people and the way they look to you would reflect on your country as well. Let’s say I’m a rude person and don’t like to interact with others. Believe me, they would never talk or mention my name; they are going to mention my country. That has happened a lot to certain people I know. For instance, last year when I was in Pennsylvania, I held a dinner event along with my Kuwaiti friends inviting our friends and some Americans that we knew. We gave them a warm welcome and showed them perfect hospitality; they were surprised and asked us whether we do this to with people or just with them. We simply answered them that is the way we do it in our country and we wanted them to experience it. The hospitality is important in my country, and it’s considered a custom that we always do when people come to visit us. I brought this custom along with me to the United States.
Some people ask that if you liked it in your native country why did you leave in the first place. Everyone have his own reason to leave. For me, I got a chance to study in one of the best countries in the world so why to waste it, others have dreamed of this chance and I didn’t hesitate to say yes. Some people leave because of their financial status; they have a bet.

leave because of their financial status; they have a better chance
to live in another country and continue pursuing their dreams,
getting their dream job, and supporting their family if they have
one. The United States of America receives thousands of
immigrants every year and it’s a good thing to see many
immigrants come to the United States and live in it, but it’s
hard for the US government as well to keep those immigrants.
Whenever I go outside here I don’t feel like I’m a weird person.
I feel like I’m at home, and the way people look at me makes
feel comfortable.
To be specific, there are many Asians, Middle Easterners and
Europeans as well. Whenever you want a taste from your culture
you can go there, not just restaurants, but also markets,
shopping centers, and cafes. That’s an advantage of the US. For
almost every culture, it makes immigrants feel at home.
To sum up, changing to another country requires a lot and
3. changing one’s identity is a hard thing to do because it’s
requires years, and practice and a strong min as well .Bringing
the culture and customs of one’s nature land is an important
way to teach people about my home country.

Microbes Everywhere
Exercise 1 - Finding Microbes:
Observations from Procedures:
2. Select six sources from your prioritized list that are from
different areas of your home. Set up a data table similar to the
one shown below to number your microbes and record
information and observations about them for Exercise 1 and
Exercise 2.

Use the hand magnifying lens to observe the growths of
colonies within the tubes. Note their shape, size, color, and
anything else distinguishing. Bacteria will grow in small
circular colonies, whereas molds will spread out more and may
look fuzzy. Yeasts tend to grow initially in tight, compact
colonies and their color is somewhat darker than that of
bacteria. Record what you see in the data table. Draw what you
see for each. Try to deduce the types of microbes each cultured
colony contains: bacteria, mold, or yeast. Some cultures may
contain more than one type of microbe.
If some of the cultures are not yet well developed let all of the
cultures continue to incubate for up to three additional days
until you see visible growth in them all. Record final
observations for each tube.
Questions:
6. From which samples did you observe the most and least
microbial growth?
Why do you think there were differences in the number and
types of microbes at the different sampling sites?
Did microbes from warmer or cooler sites multiply faster?
Hypothesize why.
How could the information gained in this experiment be useful
in your home?

8. Examine the slides under your microscope. Describe and draw
what you see.
Questions:
Was the structure or arrangement of the colonies of
microorganisms different among what you identified as bacteria
versus yeast versus mold?
Four slides are, of course, a very small sample, but regardless
of this limitation, what can you hypothesize about differences in
the microbe growth patterns? Does your hypothesis match the
descriptions at the beginning of the experiment?
Were you able to see any individual microorganisms? If so
what would you guess they are (e.g., mold, yeast, etc.)?
Do any of the slides appear to have more than one type of
microorganism? Did you determine this by physical appearance
of the culture or by color of stain?
