Welcome to WritePoint, the automated review system that recognizes errors most commonly made
by university students in academic essays. The system embeds comments into your paper and
suggests possible changes in grammar and style. Please evaluate each comment carefully to ensure
that the suggested change is appropriate for your paper, but remember that your instructor's
preferences for style and format prevail. You will also need to review your own citations and

First of all I am extremely happy and excited about the programs and tutorials that University of
Phoenix provides students to help them obtain excellence in class. The workshops available
assist students who have been out of school for several years remember the basics of each subject.
It keeps me motivated during the classes and definitely makes learning easy. Make sure you set
your expectations and be clear on what it is you want to obtain. It is not easy staying on track
because everyday life events get in the way and that can sway your decision to do the right thing,
but do not let that discourage you, an education is a great benefit and will open up all forms of
opportunities in your future. Personal responsibility normally refers to accepting responsibility for
your own actions (Lazare, 2005) even thought pointing the finger at someone else it an easy way
out, (for example, an alcoholic will blame the company they keep for influencing them to drink)
we do have a responsibility to take care of ourselves and our children. Experiencing parenthood is
not an easy task, especially if you are a single parent. Regardless of shortcomings every parent has
a moral obligations to feed, bathe, clothe, and provide a roof over our children's head. The most
important of these is love and listen to our children. Teaching our children to become responsible in
their actions, intentions and ways of thinking toward other people

Personal Responsibility Essay
Imagine going through your entire life without taking personal responsibility for absolutely
anything. How would this method of operation affect your life? Day to day life would be chaotic,
career advancement would be impossible, and concepts like intrapersonal relationships would
quickly become overwhelming and unfeasible. The ability and drive to take personal responsibility
in life is a central focal point in the areas of creating a successful life, defining goals and priorities,
and creating a structure with which to effectively guide your life.
When working toward a successful life, personal responsibility is a vital cornerstone. The concept of
personal responsibility is more than just being...show more content...
The setting and constant evaluation of these goals and priorities becomes the framework of a
successful life and a vital gauge for one to evaluate their progress. Strategies as simple as writing
your goals down can be useful in solidifying those goals, as outlined in Becoming a Master
Student (Toft, 2011): "Writing down your goals exponentially increases your chances of meeting
them. Writing exposes undefined terms, unrealistic time frames, and other symptoms of fuzzy
thinking." Having your goals in a 'real' format makes them harder to lose track or sight of.
However, if one is not willing to truly take personal responsibility for the outcome of their progress,
they will never make it very far in pursuit of their goals and any real personal growth becomes
stunted.
While some people believe that they are able to lead a successful life without taking any
responsibility and just drift, this is a misconception. Achieving success comes through the crafting of
an individual framework of goals and priorities that one will strive toward, measuring success
through their progress toward these goals. This can take wildly different forms for each individual,
as each person must use tactics that make sense to them. Personally, my own plan to engrain
personal responsibility into my education involves constant evaluation of my progress via my
calendar and prioritized lists and through tracking of my grades. The use

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY ESSAY Success in college requires one to identify key aspects
of personal responsibility, understand the relationship between personal responsibility and
college success, and establish a specific plan to follow that will ensure he or she incorporates the
various elements of personal responsibility in every facet of his or her college experience. The
notion of personal responsibility has been embedded in our culture and as we enter into
adulthood we must learn to become personally, academically, financially, socially and mentally
responsible. There are times when you may feel you are responsible and may not need or want
the help of others in your life. However, life is full of challenges and surprises and it is easy to
shift the blame to others if things don't go your way. You must learn to take responsibility by
accepting and acknowledging the choices you make in your live. You are where you are in life
today because of the choice you made. You made decisions that either benefitted or hindered you.
How you accept and acknowledges your personal responsibility depends on how you handle the
outcomes of your decisions. I look at personal responsibility as you accepting responsibility for your
actions, accepting the consequences that come from those actions and understanding that these
actions impact the world around you. Life itself is already full of challenges and once you learn to
accept the decisions you made and not blaming others for your actions,

Personal Responsibility and Accountability Essay
Personal Responsibility and Accountability Due to my recent troubles at work I have been
counseled twice in the past several weeks. This has given me a lot of time to reflect at the way I
have really presented myself in the Army thus far. I have not always been the best Soldier that I
could have been during most of the time I that I have been in so far. Thinking about this does
bother me, it means that I could be trying harder to get ahead and better myself as a Soldier and a
person. Lets say for example I have been late to work twice in the past several weeks not only to
include missing a pt formation altogether. I did this by not ensuring that i had met alo of my neds to
ensure that i woudl wake up in the morning. But by doing...show more content...
I did the right thing after not going to formation in the first palce by calling who had already been
done with pt. Which is were some realized that I am not a good Soldier and that I need to start
being the responsible that the Army needs. In doing so I will be going to pt with a fellow Soldier
that is pretty squared away and insuring that I have a way to and from work as well as pt and any
other things that may occur. I have thought about these things and realize that this is not how I
want to spend mym time in the Army. If people are not responsible for the things that they do then
we are all doomed for failure on the battlefield or in an office environment that I work in now we
all have the simple responsibilities. By showing this type of irresponsibility on the battlefield it
could have costed lives and I know that I would not have been able to handle that. I have
determined that due to my recent actions I will not let things like this happen to myself, I am going
to take care of my business and get things done the Army way not the shamming Specialist way.
Responsibility is not to be taken lightly it is put there to make you a better person and in my case

Personal Responsibility
To be successful you must be responsible for your actions. Personal responsibility is having integrity,
and taking ownership for your actions. Doing the right thing will demonstrate being personally
responsible and will result in a successful experience in life.
Personal responsibility is taking ownership of your thoughts and actions. To me, personal
responsibility is having integrity. What I mean by this is being trustworthy, to do the right thing all
the time. For example, plagiarizing work, if someone is trustworthy they will do their own work,
rather than copy someone else's and turning that work in for a grade. If someone is to have
integrity, they will also report any wrong doings that they are aware of. If you know of someone
that is cheating or plagiarizing and you do not report the incident, you are just as much at fault as
the other person. Above would be another example of what I believe personal responsibility means,
doing the right thing even though it may not be the popular thing to do. Accountability is another
trait of being personally responsible. Being accountable means not blaming others for your choices
or lack of choices. If you choose not to complete an assignment it is your own fault and there is no
one to blame but...show more content...
Being accountable for your actions or lack of actions will show that you are responsible. Without
being responsible you will not be successful in college, which means that the best decisions for
you were not made. You must relate responsibility to success in college as well as in society. Set a
plan for success. You must set a plan for yourself that will ensure that you have the ability to reach
any and all of your goals. All in all, if you follow you are a responsible individual there in nothing
that you cannot accomplish. By planning to succeed you are already on the right

The Theme Of Personal Responsibility
The theme of the second podcast is Personal Responsibility. A metaphor is made between a simple
marshmallow survey with kindergarteners to patience in poverty. I never really saw to much of
a connection between these two scenarios, except for the idea of waiting to have kids. It is
similar to biology how there are K and R species. K species produce fewer offspring but provide
much more care for each individual, whereas R species produce more offspring, but care less for
each individual. Those who choose to wait longer, when they are married and financially stable,
might create a better family life for their child. An old woman who lives in a rough part of town is
interviewed about her perspective on poverty. The woman being interviewed worked

By organizing I can set the steps in each category, short, intermediate, and long term, with each step
leading toward my ultimate long term goal. After all isn 't that what we all want, to set ourselves up
to reach the ultimate long term goal. Once I have organized my goals, I will then prioritize them.
I will rank all of my goals in the order in which I want to accomplish them. I will start with the
most immediate goal first and work my way to my ultimate goal. For example, the most
immediate goal for me is to obtain my degree. My next goal would be to retire from the Marine
Corps once I have twenty years of service. My ultimate goal might be to retire by the time I am
fifty five and move to a tropical area, whatever the goal is I will set myself up to reach it. By
prioritizing my goals, my decision making will be made very easy based on the order in which I
want to reach all of the goals that I have set. Next I will accept the responsibility of completing all
of my assignments in a timely manner, which will enable me to reach one of my goals. Once the
first goal is met then off to the next. By being personally responsibility and making the best
decisions for me, I will ultimately reach the goals that I have set for myself.
In concluding, personal responsibility to me is being true to yourself and sticking to your morals.
Being accountable for your actions

Personal Responsibility And Social Responsibility
Democracy means government by the people, which is people participate in every action and
makes decision. The system of democracy gave us many opportunities, such as the right to vote,
the right to speech, the right to religion and others. In the Democracy system responsibility have a
big place, personal responsibility and social responsibility of its citizen have a big effect on the
decision of the political process. Every four years there is an election and there are different
candidates, who run for president with different ideas and goals. The people can viewed the
candidates ideas and goals in different ways, or they may agree all together by some ideas. But
there is always different point of view of the candidates from different people, which makes the
political system more diverse. People have the right to vote and choose their president to lead them
to the highest achievement, but many people are not using their right. Votingis one of the personal
responsibility of one citizen, and also participating in the political, social life. We watch and heard
on TV and radio or on social medias, different candidates talking about political, social,
environmental and continental topics. We can elect only one candidate to be a president, and we
should to understand the candidates political agenda in every direction. We can not elect a candidate
just to fulfill our need only, we should think about the others too. So the act of voting is the personal

Short Stories : Personal Responsibility
Do you feel an obligation to think about other people's welfare? If you do, how far does that
responsibility extend? Are you responsible for a sibling, a neighbor, or even a stranger across the
world? The short stories I read help me think about the world around me and enlighten my
understanding of my personal responsibility to others. First, these short stories show personal
responsibility by describing to what degree we are responsible for the weaker or oppressed
members of society. Second, the short stories I read helped me think about to what extent should
we be driven by personal responsibility to act with compassion, empathy, and concern for others.
Finally, short stories exemplify how we are personally responsible for our friends and how we live
our own lives.
First, short stories show personal responsibility by describing to what degree we are responsible
for the weaker or oppressed members of society.Throughout the short stories, I have seen how the
weaker and oppressed member of society are being helped. For example, in the short story, the
"Scarlet Ibis", the narrator has a responsibility, given to him by his mother, to help his younger
brother who cannot care for himself. As the narrator says in the story, "It seemed so hopeless from
the beginning that it's a miracle I didn't give up. But all of us must have something or someone to
be proud of, and Doodle had become mine. I did not know then that pride is a wonderful, terrible

Define Personal Responsibility
Personal Responsibility
Personal Responsibility is basically "We control our own actions" We have to take responsibility for
what we do and we have to be able to respond to situations we get into with a high standard. Without
taking personal responsibility we become untrustworthy, and we cant be counted on to take on
challenges.
Ethics
Ethics is another important philosophy. It is mainly about morals and it is basically your "Right or
Wrong" conduct. the point of ethics is to have good morals and to have a good standard as a human
being.
Integrity
Integrity is one of the highest qualities you can have. It includes being honest, having a high moral
standard & uprightness. If you have high integrity, people will trust you a lot more and never

Personal Statement On Personal Responsibility
Personal responsibility is holding you accountable for all your actions and decisions. Being
personally responsible means you take ownership of what you do in and with your life. This
means from the time you wake up until you go to bed at night, your life is your responsibility and
yours alone. Your values, morals, and beliefs are all contributing factors in how you view being
personally responsible. If you have been raised and taught to believe that you should consider your
actions at all times, then responsibility becomes second nature to you . For some it may be a little
more difficult to grasp this concept. What we need to remember is that personal responsibility is
important in every aspect of life . In college one has to take personal responsibility very seriously. I
began my college education in my early thirties. I had been out of school for quite some time and
knew that I faced a real challenge. I had to purpose in my mind that I was going to do whatever it
took to reach my academic goals. Starting out I faced several disadvantages , from lack of
financial aid, to self doubt. I had to take charge of what was my dream and find a way to make it
happen. I went to the college after obtaining my GED and just laid it all out on the line. Once I
received my first class schedule I felt I was on my way. That very first class night I had an eye
opening moment. I realized that this was going to take a lot of hard work and determination. I found
out quickly that not everyone

Always seek help when needed and use your family and career aspirations as motivation rather

his speech President Obama stated that "we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most
supportive parents, and the best schools in the world and none of it will make a difference, none
of it will matter, unless all of us fulfill our responsibilities". I believe President Obama was
highlighting the importance of fulfilling our responsibilities if we wish to achieve academic
success. President Obama was trying to teach the students of Wakefield High School that
although you can be provided with a blank canvass and supplies, it is up to you to create the

essential if you wish to create that master peace. You need to manage your time by setting periodic

your expectations are realistic. Never put more than you can eat on your plate and do not hold other

The Necessity of Personal Responsibility Essay
Personal responsibility may be perceived in many ways, but it is imperative to understand the
relevance of why it must begin with our self. First, one will never develop an attitude of
responsibility if they always look for others to complete their task. It is a necessity that one has
personal discipline or their efforts to be responsible will prove to be fruitless. Second, being
responsible yields great rewards and acting responsible is a clear sign of maturity. A responsible
individual looks to no one but self and no matter what the outcome; they are willing to stand by their
decisions. (Maltby 2009), "Personal responsibility is concerned with people taking individual
accountability for their decisions and actions, together with...show more content...
Personal responsibility may yield many rewards. For example, Mary's entry level position at Trump
Towers was administrative assistant. During a period of one year, Mary validated her worth by
working overtime and always volunteering to help with other projects. As Mary continued to
flourish in completing her assignments, she was elevated from administrative assistant to executive
director of the accounting department. There are many levels of maturity, but maturity is a process
that students develop over a period of time. Consequently, the student that matures quickly is likely
to initiate an educational plan that will increase their academic success. One preliminary plan that
a student can design to achieve academic success is goal setting. Goal setting allows the student to
define their academic goals and to devise a plan that will accommodate their collegiate career. "One
way to make goals effective is to examine them up close." (Ellis, p. 70,2011) Prior to this point we
established several factors to confirm the necessity of personal responsibility, but here we will
interject effective strategies that a student must use to generate success in their chosen field of study.
Research and observation reveals that the most successful students are accountable, but also have a
strong determination to apply practical concepts to achieve their academic goals. The successful
student operates in congruence between faculty and

Personal responsibility; the willingness to both accept the importance of standards that society
establishes for individual behavior and to make strenuous personal efforts to live by those
standards. On the 10th day of December 2015, I failed to exemplify the extremely important
characteristic of personal responsibility by failing to present oneself at a 0740 appointment at the

me for no reason and by not arriving at the appointment on time I not only shorted myself of getting
work done that would only benefit me but also getting myself into an unnecessary counseling

Personal Responsibility Essay

  • 1. Personal Responsibility Essay Welcome to WritePoint, the automated review system that recognizes errors most commonly made by university students in academic essays. The system embeds comments into your paper and suggests possible changes in grammar and style. Please evaluate each comment carefully to ensure that the suggested change is appropriate for your paper, but remember that your instructor's preferences for style and format prevail. You will also need to review your own citations and references since WritePoint capability in this area is limited. NOTE: WritePoint comments are computer–generated writing and grammar suggestions inviting the consideration and analysis of the writer; they are not infallible statements of right/wrong, and they should not be used as...show more content... First of all I am extremely happy and excited about the programs and tutorials that University of Phoenix provides students to help them obtain excellence in class. The workshops available assist students who have been out of school for several years remember the basics of each subject. It keeps me motivated during the classes and definitely makes learning easy. Make sure you set your expectations and be clear on what it is you want to obtain. It is not easy staying on track because everyday life events get in the way and that can sway your decision to do the right thing, but do not let that discourage you, an education is a great benefit and will open up all forms of opportunities in your future. Personal responsibility normally refers to accepting responsibility for your own actions (Lazare, 2005) even thought pointing the finger at someone else it an easy way out, (for example, an alcoholic will blame the company they keep for influencing them to drink) we do have a responsibility to take care of ourselves and our children. Experiencing parenthood is not an easy task, especially if you are a single parent. Regardless of shortcomings every parent has a moral obligations to feed, bathe, clothe, and provide a roof over our children's head. The most important of these is love and listen to our children. • 2. Examples Of Personal Responsibility Essay Personal Responsibility Essay Imagine going through your entire life without taking personal responsibility for absolutely anything. How would this method of operation affect your life? Day to day life would be chaotic, career advancement would be impossible, and concepts like intrapersonal relationships would quickly become overwhelming and unfeasible. The ability and drive to take personal responsibility in life is a central focal point in the areas of creating a successful life, defining goals and priorities, and creating a structure with which to effectively guide your life. When working toward a successful life, personal responsibility is a vital cornerstone. The concept of personal responsibility is more than just being...show more content... The setting and constant evaluation of these goals and priorities becomes the framework of a successful life and a vital gauge for one to evaluate their progress. Strategies as simple as writing your goals down can be useful in solidifying those goals, as outlined in Becoming a Master Student (Toft, 2011): "Writing down your goals exponentially increases your chances of meeting them. Writing exposes undefined terms, unrealistic time frames, and other symptoms of fuzzy thinking." Having your goals in a 'real' format makes them harder to lose track or sight of. However, if one is not willing to truly take personal responsibility for the outcome of their progress, they will never make it very far in pursuit of their goals and any real personal growth becomes stunted. While some people believe that they are able to lead a successful life without taking any responsibility and just drift, this is a misconception. Achieving success comes through the crafting of an individual framework of goals and priorities that one will strive toward, measuring success through their progress toward these goals. This can take wildly different forms for each individual, as each person must use tactics that make sense to them. Personally, my own plan to engrain personal responsibility into my education involves constant evaluation of my progress via my calendar and prioritized lists and through tracking of my grades. • 3. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY ESSAY Success in college requires one to identify key aspects of personal responsibility, understand the relationship between personal responsibility and college success, and establish a specific plan to follow that will ensure he or she incorporates the various elements of personal responsibility in every facet of his or her college experience. The notion of personal responsibility has been embedded in our culture and as we enter into adulthood we must learn to become personally, academically, financially, socially and mentally responsible. There are times when you may feel you are responsible and may not need or want the help of others in your life. However, life is full of challenges and surprises and it is easy to shift the blame to others if things don't go your way. You must learn to take responsibility by accepting and acknowledging the choices you make in your live. You are where you are in life today because of the choice you made. You made decisions that either benefitted or hindered you. How you accept and acknowledges your personal responsibility depends on how you handle the outcomes of your decisions. I look at personal responsibility as you accepting responsibility for your actions, accepting the consequences that come from those actions and understanding that these actions impact the world around you. Life itself is already full of challenges and once you learn to accept the decisions you made and not blaming others for your actions, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Personal Responsibility and Accountability Essay Personal Responsibility and Accountability Due to my recent troubles at work I have been counseled twice in the past several weeks. This has given me a lot of time to reflect at the way I have really presented myself in the Army thus far. I have not always been the best Soldier that I could have been during most of the time I that I have been in so far. Thinking about this does bother me, it means that I could be trying harder to get ahead and better myself as a Soldier and a person. Lets say for example I have been late to work twice in the past several weeks not only to include missing a pt formation altogether. I did this by not ensuring that i had met alo of my neds to ensure that i woudl wake up in the morning. But by doing...show more content... I did the right thing after not going to formation in the first palce by calling who had already been done with pt. Which is were some realized that I am not a good Soldier and that I need to start being the responsible that the Army needs. In doing so I will be going to pt with a fellow Soldier that is pretty squared away and insuring that I have a way to and from work as well as pt and any other things that may occur. I have thought about these things and realize that this is not how I want to spend mym time in the Army. If people are not responsible for the things that they do then we are all doomed for failure on the battlefield or in an office environment that I work in now we all have the simple responsibilities. By showing this type of irresponsibility on the battlefield it could have costed lives and I know that I would not have been able to handle that. I have determined that due to my recent actions I will not let things like this happen to myself, I am going to take care of my business and get things done the Army way not the shamming Specialist way. Responsibility is not to be taken lightly it is put there to make you a better person and in my case Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Examples Of Personal Responsibility John DeManuelle 3/17/18 Personal Responsibility To be successful you must be responsible for your actions. Personal responsibility is having integrity, and taking ownership for your actions. Doing the right thing will demonstrate being personally responsible and will result in a successful experience in life. Personal responsibility is taking ownership of your thoughts and actions. To me, personal responsibility is having integrity. What I mean by this is being trustworthy, to do the right thing all the time. For example, plagiarizing work, if someone is trustworthy they will do their own work, rather than copy someone else's and turning that work in for a grade. If someone is to have integrity, they will also report any wrong doings that they are aware of. If you know of someone that is cheating or plagiarizing and you do not report the incident, you are just as much at fault as the other person. Above would be another example of what I believe personal responsibility means, doing the right thing even though it may not be the popular thing to do. Accountability is another trait of being personally responsible. Being accountable means not blaming others for your choices or lack of choices. If you choose not to complete an assignment it is your own fault and there is no one to blame but...show more content... Being accountable for your actions or lack of actions will show that you are responsible. Without being responsible you will not be successful in college, which means that the best decisions for you were not made. You must relate responsibility to success in college as well as in society. Set a plan for success. You must set a plan for yourself that will ensure that you have the ability to reach any and all of your goals. All in all, if you follow you are a responsible individual there in nothing that you cannot accomplish. By planning to succeed you are already on the right Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 7. The Theme Of Personal Responsibility The theme of the second podcast is Personal Responsibility. A metaphor is made between a simple marshmallow survey with kindergarteners to patience in poverty. I never really saw to much of a connection between these two scenarios, except for the idea of waiting to have kids. It is similar to biology how there are K and R species. K species produce fewer offspring but provide much more care for each individual, whereas R species produce more offspring, but care less for each individual. Those who choose to wait longer, when they are married and financially stable, might create a better family life for their child. Doing the right thing and making ethical choices will demonstrate being personally responsible and will result in a successful college experience. Personal responsibility is taking ownership of their thoughts and actions (Stockdale and Brockett, 2011). Personal responsibility to me is having integrity. By organizing I can set the steps in each category, short, intermediate, and long term, with each step leading toward my ultimate long term goal. After all isn 't that what we all want, to set ourselves up to reach the ultimate long term goal. Once I have organized my goals, I will then prioritize them. I will rank all of my goals in the order in which I want to accomplish them. I will start with the most immediate goal first and work my way to my ultimate goal. For example, the most immediate goal for me is to obtain my degree. My next goal would be to retire from the Marine Corps once I have twenty years of service. My ultimate goal might be to retire by the time I am fifty five and move to a tropical area, whatever the goal is I will set myself up to reach it. By prioritizing my goals, my decision making will be made very easy based on the order in which I want to reach all of the goals that I have set. Next I will accept the responsibility of completing all of my assignments in a timely manner, which will enable me to reach one of my goals. Once the first goal is met then off to the next. By being personally responsibility and making the best decisions for me, I will ultimately reach the goals that I have set for myself. In concluding, personal responsibility to me is being true to yourself and sticking to your morals. Being accountable for your actions Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The system of democracy gave us many opportunities, such as the right to vote, the right to speech, the right to religion and others. In the Democracy system responsibility have a big place, personal responsibility and social responsibility of its citizen have a big effect on the decision of the political process. Every four years there is an election and there are different candidates, who run for president with different ideas and goals. The people can viewed the candidates ideas and goals in different ways, or they may agree all together by some ideas. But there is always different point of view of the candidates from different people, which makes the political system more diverse. People have the right to vote and choose their president to lead them to the highest achievement, but many people are not using their right. Votingis one of the personal responsibility of one citizen, and also participating in the political, social life. We watch and heard on TV and radio or on social medias, different candidates talking about political, social, environmental and continental topics. We can elect only one candidate to be a president, and we should to understand the candidates political agenda in every direction. • 10. Short Stories : Personal Responsibility Do you feel an obligation to think about other people's welfare? If you do, how far does that responsibility extend? Are you responsible for a sibling, a neighbor, or even a stranger across the world? The short stories I read help me think about the world around me and enlighten my understanding of my personal responsibility to others. First, these short stories show personal responsibility by describing to what degree we are responsible for the weaker or oppressed members of society. Second, the short stories I read helped me think about to what extent should we be driven by personal responsibility to act with compassion, empathy, and concern for others. Finally, short stories exemplify how we are personally responsible for our friends and how we live our own lives. First, short stories show personal responsibility by describing to what degree we are responsible for the weaker or oppressed members of society.Throughout the short stories, I have seen how the weaker and oppressed member of society are being helped. For example, in the short story, the "Scarlet Ibis", the narrator has a responsibility, given to him by his mother, to help his younger brother who cannot care for himself. As the narrator says in the story, "It seemed so hopeless from the beginning that it's a miracle I didn't give up. But all of us must have something or someone to be proud of, and Doodle had become mine. It is mainly about morals and it is basically your "Right or Wrong" conduct. the point of ethics is to have good morals and to have a good standard as a human being. • 12. Personal Statement On Personal Responsibility Personal responsibility is holding you accountable for all your actions and decisions. Being personally responsible means you take ownership of what you do in and with your life. This means from the time you wake up until you go to bed at night, your life is your responsibility and yours alone. Your values, morals, and beliefs are all contributing factors in how you view being personally responsible. If you have been raised and taught to believe that you should consider your actions at all times, then responsibility becomes second nature to you . For some it may be a little more difficult to grasp this concept. What we need to remember is that personal responsibility is important in every aspect of life . In college one has to take personal responsibility very seriously. I began my college education in my early thirties. I had been out of school for quite some time and knew that I faced a real challenge. I had to purpose in my mind that I was going to do whatever it took to reach my academic goals. Starting out I faced several disadvantages , from lack of financial aid, to self doubt. I had to take charge of what was my dream and find a way to make it happen. I went to the college after obtaining my GED and just laid it all out on the line. Once I received my first class schedule I felt I was on my way. That very first class night I had an eye opening moment. I realized that this was going to take a lot of hard work and determination. I found out quickly that not everyone Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Personal Responsibility Essay Running head: PERSONAL RESPONSABILITY Personal Responsibility XXXXXXX Personal Responsibility Practicing personal responsibility in every aspect of our lives is the safest way to guarantee personal success. Personal responsibility is as simple as managing our life and making our own decisions without giving others the opportunity to dictate the outcome of our future. As the architects of our academic future, we must understand that only we can lay the foundation for our success. Always seek help when needed and use your family and career aspirations as motivation rather than challenges in the path towards academic success. Remember that your academic success will always be the result of your work and determination. In 2009 President Barak Obama gave a speech on the importance of education at the Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. In his speech President Obama stated that "we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, and the best schools in the world and none of it will make a difference, none of it will matter, unless all of us fulfill our responsibilities". I believe President Obama was highlighting the importance of fulfilling our responsibilities if we wish to achieve academic success. President Obama was trying to teach the students of Wakefield High School that although you can be provided with a blank canvass and supplies, it is up to you to create the master piece. Having a preliminary plan to fulfill your responsibilities and achieving your goals is essential if you wish to create that master peace. You need to manage your time by setting periodic goals and making responsible decisions. You must also recognize your limitations and ensure that your expectations are realistic. Never put more than you can eat on your plate and do not hold other people accountable for your decisions. By following these steps you will ensure a Get more content on HelpWriting.net

First, one will never develop an attitude of responsibility if they always look for others to complete their task. It is a necessity that one has personal discipline or their efforts to be responsible will prove to be fruitless. Second, being responsible yields great rewards and acting responsible is a clear sign of maturity. Personal responsibility may yield many rewards. For example, Mary's entry level position at Trump Towers was administrative assistant. During a period of one year, Mary validated her worth by working overtime and always volunteering to help with other projects. • 16. Personal Responsibility In The Military Personal responsibility; the willingness to both accept the importance of standards that society establishes for individual behavior and to make strenuous personal efforts to live by those standards. On the 10th day of December 2015, I failed to exemplify the extremely important characteristic of personal responsibility by failing to present oneself at a 0740 appointment at the dental office. By doing so I only hurt myself. I fully understand that the appointment wasn't made for me for no reason and by not arriving at the appointment on time I not only shorted myself of getting work done that would only benefit me but also getting myself into an unnecessary counseling statement that could've been avoided if only I chose to exercise the attribute of personal responsibility. Every day I should understand that accepting my personal responsibilities is utterly important. Being a soldier personal responsibility should be one of the biggest subjects one should take seriously, without it I wouldn't get anywhere or anything out of the Army except for a punishment of UCMJ or a chapter 15 out of this organization that has zero tolerance for nothing but the best. It is highly known that the United State Army is downsizing. In other words "getting rid of the bad apples" is what's going on. I myself, a young E1 just kicking of her...show more content... As a husband and a father, my top priority was ensuring I could afford to provide for my family. I decided to start a home business when I decided to attend college, I never thought of implementing a plan with my family. I felt only attending school one day a week, I could complete my assignments without intensive research. Also, I felt my children sports (soccer and baseball), were more important.
