Reflection On Health And Wellness
Part A: Health and Wellness What health and wellness mean to me may be different than what the
textbook would state health and wellness is. Health means to me the condition in which your body
is, which could be poor or good health. The mind,spirit,physicality would pertain all to the state of
one's body. Wellness is the consistent goal towards being in wellness meaning that one strives to be
in good personal health. The book describes wellness as; " wellness is the physical–well being ,
emotional–well being ,and spiritual– well being." (Robert T. Harper) According to Merriam Webster

Part C: Choices Made When I was at the age of sixteen i made the decision to become sexually
active which i take full responsibility for that choice. This however was going to change my life
forever, at such a young age i put myself at risk for sexually transmitted diseases and becoming
pregnant. One choice in particular that i made that impacted me negatively was when I decided
to have unprotected sex. This opened my chances of catching a diseases more likely as opposed
to not as likely with some type of protection. I was only seventeen when I made this choice too
young to be pregnant and raise a child. This choice i made impacted me negatively because my
period was late and i became overwhelmed with concern that it affected my relationship with my
family because i felt like i had failed them. I stopped myself from interacting and going to family
gatherings. It also affect me in the aspect of having baggage to carry fir the rest of my life with
each person i decided to have sexual encounters with. The choices i made after this occasion was
making sure i protected myself at all times with using some type of contraceptive. I also made
sure that it was my goal to inform girls the risk of being sexually active and if they were to

Environmental health is the science that studies how the environment influences the human disease
and health. Environment means things that are natural to us in the environment, for instance air,
water, and soil. However, it also covers the physical, chemical, biological, and social features that
surround us every day. The physical environment is the man–made or built structures that include our

The pollution has both chronic and acute effects on our health, and affects many of our systems and
organs. The health consequences of lower levels of pollution have been more difficult to decide. The
first cause is that people differ in response to the environment and the toxics. When we are exposed
to the different conditions caused by the environment, the variation is wide because of how we react.
With this variability of the population, it can mask the effects that do occur in a sensitive segment of
the population. The second difficulty is our age, and the timing of the exposures and how it will
influence both sensitivity to the environmental agent, and the type of effect it will cause our health.
Infants and children may acquire lifelong damage compared to us adults. Environmental regulation
and pollution control will remain an important cornerstone of the public health policy. The focus will
be prevention, instead of disease treatment. Control of the pollution is a highly cost–effective means
ensuring public health. With the contaminated environments and the work hazards in occupations,
improving the pollution control may lead to a reduced health care disparities. When the health of all

The reason I chose to do my project on a game that can hit all three areas safety, health, and
nutrition, is because all three areas are important to children and their families. As a parent I can
easily justify the role a teacher has on the lives of our children. It is usually a parent does not know

It took so many children to die to have car seats and seatbelts as a requirement, a safety issue Still
if we look back and compare life now to life then. Yes, many more safety issues are now
addressed,, but then again they need to be addressed, since life has changed so much. When I was
growing up many mom's were stay at home mom's, and there wase no use to be riding around we
would just stay home, where our parents could keep an eye on their children at all times.
Why health? As we all know that in today's society we see many children as well as adults who
are suffering with obesity. Also those who suffer with anorexic. Many families live in the world of
fast food. That which comes with a price. Life once again has changed from my childhood where I
ate a home cooked meal, everyday. That included breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Like most families did
at that time and there was more physical play then what we see today. Most children today rely on
television and games for fun. While physical activity gets put aside and children not burn off calories

learns different. Some are kinestic learners, some visual, and others audio. With this game it does not
