In this presentation/blog I talk about the concepts of reality. What is truth? When we look at television programs we're constantly bombarded by so many images claiming to be true. I show how my 'Deprivations' novel reflects that uncertainty plus I talk about newspapers, President Trump and pop music.

I remember years ago hearing the song by the pop. band
Duran Duran song called 'Too Much Information' and I was
struck by the lyrics:
I hate to bite the hand that feeds me so much information.
The pressure's on the screen to sell you things that you don't need.
It's too much information for me.
Hey, T.V. child, look into my eyes.
Here by intervention, I want your attention.

4. 'TOO MUCH INFORMATION'
Even though that song was written years
ago its message is still very relevant if not
more so.

TRAMPLING ON THE TRUTH"
On TV today I watched a Sky News feature that
discussed an article in The Times newspaper
called
"Digital Giants are Trampling on the
Truth".

It was by Robert Thomson and he wrote about the
organizations
Google and facebook

8. "DIGITAL GIANTS ARE
TRAMPLING ON THE TRUTH"
He wrote:
"they have prospered mightily by peddling
a flat-earth philosophy that doesn’t
distinguish between the fake and the real
because they make copious amounts of
money from both.”

Sounds familiar?

Even the author name I use for my novel ‘Deprivations’ novel isn’t my
personal name.
As for the main character in that novel…

The main woman featuring in my novel ‘Deprivations’ - Mahisa -
adopts someone else’s name to become another person.
She almost forgets who she used to be until…
