Information
Salmon numbers throughout the North East Atlantic region
are in serious decline. This is due to factors such as poor
water quality, the loss or destruction of habitat and
predation.

Introductory Lesson Plan including PowerPoint. Children
will carry out research into factors which affect salmon
numbers. A worksheet is provided which can be used to
record information. The children are asked to devise a
powerpoint presentation/ this can be altered depending on
what the teachers aims are
2 lesson plans including two different experiments exploring
the impact of silt on oxygen levels in rivers.
