SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES 
By the end of the lesson ,students will be able to 1) prepare character sketch 2) construct dialogue

TEACHER ACTIVITY CW MATERIAL/T’s MATERIAL 
PRE - STAGE 
STEP 1 
Teacher introduces the lesson 
THE PRINCESS ON THE ROAD Teacher tell Ss that 
it is a one act play on the adventures life of a Princess 
Teacher uses deductive or inductive method to trigger 
Ss ‘s prior knowledge 
STEP 2 
T introduces the luxurious life of the princess and her 
love for adventures
WHILE – STAGE 
PRESENTATION 1 
STEP 1- 
T Plays CW on screen .T uses pause button for each 
slide to make the clips stand still in order to describe 
the content . 
As pictures related to the Princess are shown in the 
slide 
T asks Ss can you identify the picture ? 
Why did the Princess demand Bread and Milk instead 
of water ?
STEP 2 
T simplifies the portion and gives a portion and 
gives a description 
STEP 3 
T explains the slides one by one 
PRESENTATION 2 
STEP 1 
T briefly reinforces the next point by briefly 
explaining the next slide 
STEP 2 
T explains the reason behind her throwing of 
breads
POST STAGE 
STEP 1 
T goes to the practice section of the slide calls upon 
the Ss’ to construct a character sketch of the 
Princess 
STEP 2 
Hints were given in the form of Pictures 
Palace, sentries ,Banquets, adventure
EXTENSION ACTIVITIES 
Ss are assigned to do the Reinforcement section on 
class .or T can give hints for the exercise to 
complete it easily . 
T can use the Enrichment section as further practice 
to motivate Ss with the attractive presentation and 
game like activity. 
The Reinforcement section can also be used as a 
stimulus for a writing activity. 
For example Ss to attempt a character sketch of the 
Princess and write a likely conversation between 
Princess and Johny ,a village boy.
