Increasing the Submission Rate of the
Learners’ Outputs

MAHAY INTEGRATED SECONDARY SCHOOL
2. Context and Rationale
The teacher-adviser of Grade 10 Sun also the proponent of this study,
perceived the need to address the low submission rate of the learners’ outputs which
will affect the academic performance of the learners. This pushes the proponent to
conduct this study. Parents will benefit from this research study as it will give them a
sense of joy and pride with the improved grades obtain by their children.
Nevertheless, the prizes earned by the students will help them save money because
of the essential items being offered as rewards. More so, the school will benefit from
this study in terms of Performance Rating which is reported regularly every end of
the quarter.
3. 1. What is the submission rate of the learners before and during the
intervention?
2. Is there a significant difference on the submission rate of the
learners’ outputs before and during the intervention?
Action Research Questions
4. Coupon Challenge is in response to the low
submission rate of learners’ outputs. The program
encourages the learners to submit their outputs
accurately, completely, and on time such as Answer
Sheets, Summative Tests and Performance Tasks in
all learning areas.
Proposed Innovation/Intervention/Strategy
Must be updated/no backlog of past due
submissions of outputs and modules. Performance Tasks
and Summative Tests submitted specifically in Science,
ESP and Filipino must obtain 75% of the highest possible
score to qualify for a coupon. Earned coupons may be
used to buy items in the Prize Board.

Qualified learners will be given a coupon points based on the following
point system ( Satisfactory Rate will be based only on the three learning areas:
Science, ESP and Filipino):
6. Action Research Methods
Descriptive Statistics using Mean
and Frequency to determine the
submission rate of the learners’
outputs before and during the
intervention
This research will use T-test
statistical analysis to determine
the significant difference on the
submission rate of the learners’
outputs before and during the
intervention.
