How is a reporter like a scientist? Both start with a hypothesis. What’s a hypothesis? An idea or premise. Both gather facts and test their idea. Neither the scientist nor the journalist is vested in proving the idea – it doesn’t have to be right or true. The goal for both is to seek truth.
