My Dad Essay
The man above all the rest, because of his influence on my life, is my dad. He is so special to me
that it's hard to put it in words. My dad is the one who had me knowing in my heart by 7th grade,
maybe even sooner, that I wanted to teach someday and that I wanted to coach. My dad was a 5th
and 6th grade teacher for 23 years. During these years he coached track, softball, volleyball, and
my favorite sport, basketball. I think I probably had a basketball in my hands when I was born!
My sisters and I used to travel to games with him on the bus with their crazy bus driver, Mr.
Krueger. The team members always welcomed us, and we had a blast. My dad used to say as Mr.
Krueger wildly whipped around another corner, "don't you tell...show more content...
I have so many vivid memories of my dad in front of a classroom captivating his "audience". I
remember during a science lesson on the parts of the body he had middle school students playing
"The knee bone's connected to the...". He had the respect of his students and, in return, they worked
hard for him. He had the ability and opportunity to influence each and every one of their lives. I
hope I will someday have a similar influence on my students. I have many special memories of
helping my dad with bulletin boards (not always willingly!), correcting papers (which I did enjoy!),
reading stories for contests, and just observing him.
My dad's a principal now of an elementary school, but he is probably one of the most visible, active
principals I've ever known. My dad plays his guitar and sings during school assemblies. How
many principals do that? The kids, teachers, and parents all get a kick out of that. Since he was a
teacher for so many years, the teachers feel more like he is "one of them", not an egotistical
administrator that feels he is so much better than everyone else. He really loves and cares about the
kids. He's so proud of the students in his school, always cutting their pictures out of the paper and
having kids be "principal for the day".
Many people have influenced me to become a teacher through their example and their sincere
concern for me. Some great people listened to me and are now my

My dad is my hero, he goes by the name of Ray Williams. My dad is a preacher but not your typical
preacher. Just because he is a preacher he doesn't stop me from living my life and having fun that's
what I love about him. People always see my father as one of the "cool dads". Some of the reason he
is my hero is that he is strong, helpful, and always there for me. Trust and believe that's not even
the half of it. One of the main reasons my dad is my hero because he is always there for me.
When I was in 6th grade my parents got divorced and life hasn't been the same ever since, but my
dad has always encouraged me and ensured me that everything was gonna be okay. Whatever I
needed he tried his hardest to provide. Not to mention I...show more content...
If they need anything he tries to help them out even though he knows it isn't his responsibility.
Another example of how my father helps others is when my friends or my sibling's friends need a
ride my father will give it. If they need a couple dollars he doesn't mind helping them out. My dad
even offers to take us all out to eat and pay for everybody's food even if my friends have money. My
dad has a huge heart, and nobody can take that from him. The last reason why my dad is my hero
is that he supports me in anything and everything I do. My dad is the most supportive person I
could ever think of. Whatever I decide to do (unless it's something completely out of the box), he is
by my side. He always says, "If it makes you happy I'm happy". He just wants what's best for me just
like any other parent would for their child, but it feels different for me. I know for a fact when I'm in
trouble he is always gonna be there to help. I fall down is always there to pick me back up again,
and at the end of the day no matter how much I get on his nerves, and how hard of a time I always
give him he's never gonna leave me In conclusion, my dad is a blessing, and I wouldn't replace him
for all the money in the world. Many people don't have a dad or take their father for granted, but I'm
so grateful for mine. He never judges me, and never will, and I know he's "Team Alisha" till the day
I die. Therefore, it is safe to say, my father, Ray Williams is my

My Role Model: My Father Is A Super Hero
Throughout someone's life they have a role model that they look up to and admire. Whether it be
a super hero, a relative, or even a friend, they still look up to that individual. My role model comes
in the form of a five foot five man, with short black hair, and a face just like mine. He's my father
and even though he's no super hero, he's still definitely the person I look up to the most. Whether
it be supporting my dreams, needing someone to talk to, or needing a ride to a date, he's always
there for me. When it comes down to it he's the person I admire most, my role model, father,
mentor, and most importantly my friend. My dad has always had to make choices and sacrifices
for my own benefit. For the first four years of my life my family couldn't afford a car. Since both my
parents worked my dad had to walk me to my babysitter before work every day (no matter how hot
or cold the weather...show more content...
From working on cars, to fixing the T.V., I observed every little move he made. When I turned
thirteen he started teaching me different ways to fix electronic appliances like video game
controllers. I was always fascinated by how much he knew and admired how he taught me every
single thing with patience. He felt more like a teacher than a father every time he taught me
something. When I was in seventh grade, I started to get bullied and it got to the point where it
got physical. In order to learn how to defend myself he taught me how to box. He was a rough
teacher, pushing me to my limits, not even letting me rest until he said I could. However, teaching
me how to box was the best thing he ever taught me. I stopped being bullied and I found
something I loved and wanted to improve at. Every lesson I learned, every detail we spent talking
about, were things I cherished because I felt closer to the person I admired most. Growing into the

My Hero
It has been said that not all superhero's wear capes. I agree with this statement undeniably. My dad
is more than just my hero; he is my best friend. Absolutely one–of–a–kind. He is knowledgeable,
hardworking, and also the most loving man I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He loves
unconditionally. A remodel, a teacher, and a great example of what a father should be like. There
are not enough words in the whole world to show how much he means to me and how much I love
him.
Have you ever thought about how life would be without motivation nudging you to move
forward? My daddy pushes me to do my best each and every day. My two amazing sisters and I
would not be the young women we are today if it were not for him there to guide us in the right
direction. From late night ball games, to frustrating calculus homework, there is never ending
support. I do not know where I would be in life right now if it were not for his constant motivation.
Giving is not a strong enough word when you are talking about my dad. He has made so many
sacrifices for my family. From driving me hours away from home at the crack of dawn, to moving
thirty–seven hours away to a different country to support our family. He is constantly doing
whatever he can to make sure my siblings and I have anything we could ever want or need. Along
all of these things my father would do anything to help anyone who needs it.

Hero As A Hero : My Father Is My Hero
The person who made me, he made me who I am today, he made me want to be more like him in
the future. The person that I find to be my hero is my father. He is the most heroic person to me
for many exceptional reasons. Along with all of those reasons he has common flaws that everyone
has, like typical everyday flaws that every hero the kids are writing about in this class have, but are
there for a reason, because if they were not there than my father would be an all–around perfect
human, which is not realistic. More than once has my father saved my life and I know that he will
save my life more than one more time in my future. Therefore, I will get into all of these qualities
my father has so you, too, can understand why my father is my hero.
My father, Dave Wolf, grew up in a family of five, being the middle child, which from my sister's
opinion is the hardest child to be. He grew up in Fargo, North Dakota, going to Fargo South High
School way back in the 70's–80's and moved out as soon as he could from his parent's home. This, as
far as I can tell, made him more independent, and able to support himself at ease unlike every other
child still living with their parent until age 26 (it seems like). He went to Wadena College, in
Minnesota to become a power lineman. He soon realized that this profession was definitely not for
him. At that time he found a new profession and was continuously moving around in–between North
Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. He then soon met my mother and they got married at the young
age of 22 (young today). They settled down in the small town of Brandon, Minnesota (Close to
Alexandria, Minnesota) after having all three of their children, I being the youngest and beyond
spoiled. I was one year old when they moved to Brandon. My dad got a secure job at Gardonville
Telephone Coop. as the CEO of the company providing a living for his new family of five. This
job opened a crazy amount of opportunities for him and his future, also my future just based off of
all that he has accomplished, I know that I can too.
My story starts with the winter of 2006–2007. We lived on Big Chippewa Lake in the "country"
outside of Brandon. Across from my house we had what seemed to be a giant hill that, as

Descriptive Essay About My Father
Every person I have ever met has someone that they are able to look up to and can say that that
specific person is their hero. A very important person in my life that has affected me in many ways
would be my father. There is so much to know about such a great person. Lance Knight is a mentor,
a hard worker, a businessman, an avid ice hockey fan, and a loving dad. Whether he is at home, in
the office, or out socializing with friends and family you can always expect a friendly and
positive demeanor. My father is one of the most paramount and compelling people in my life due
to his love he shares for others, his influential advice, and the countless similarities we have in
common. The love that my father has for others shines like the first light of day of a bright
Arizona sunrise. His loyalty to his friends and family is unparalleled to others. One example of
this would be during the holidays towards his family. He understands that family time is
extremely important, which is why he does his best to create memorable experiences that last a
lifetime. Another example of this involves his business clients that he takes such great care of. As
a financial advisor and money manager for other people, he treats everyone of them as if they
were his closest and dearest friends. He understands that effort and hard work put in towards
others will pay back in the future. Overtime, a level of trust is built between him and his clients
causing them to consistently ask for influential advice. Lance is one of the most influential people
I have ever met. The advice that he has given me in the past has helped me through many life
situations. This specific characteristic has caused him to be a great mentor and life coach to
countless people. What makes him stand out even more is his constant willingness to provide his
influential advice to help others. I have even had close friends ask him for advice on certain topics
of business within their college courses. Another example of influential advice that he has given
happened within the past few weeks towards myself. I had gotten cut from my recent ice hockey
team and I was debating on whether to continue playing or instead attend college in December. He
was the one that convinced

My Father Is A Hero
When I think of a hero I think of a strong person who cares about the things they believe. Thay
care about others around them. They help the people in need. They stand for what is right. This
is why my dad became my hero. My dad is a great man. he grew up in a small town. In the same
place i grew up. He was born 61 years ago. He grew up as a hard worker on a mountain herding
sheep. He later met my mom and they got married. Later on in his life he develop lyme disease
and is now currently functionally blind has extreme anxiety and depression. Fro as long I have
known he has been kind hearted, service oriented, and has had a good perspective on life.
Some of the things that I look up to my dad is how he treats others around him. Sometime he
might seem a little scary and intimidating, but every time he goes to town he makes someones day.
He always compliments them or puts joy into their lives. Most the time when he does this he does
not know the person and has never met this person. I also look upto on how caring he is about
everyone. One time we went down to mexico and we went to a part where there is not much money
and it is poor and not many people have houses. My family and i went into a shop and was looking
around the people who owned the shop was a father and a daughter and no mother the lived and
sleep in this shop too. When we left we went to another shop across the street and my ad went back
into the previous shop we was in. he went and gave the daughter

College Admissions Essay: My Father Is My Hero
A hero to me is someone that is willing to help other. A hero to me is someone that is willing to do
the right thing even if it means that they miss the football game. A hero to me is someone that sees
the bad and turns it to into the good. My father fits this description perfectly. When is comes to
willing to do the right thing even if they miss something important my father is off the charts. For
instance when I was extremely sick he took me to the Urgi–Care even though he would miss the
football game. His son came first. Also when I left my coat at pre–school my dad would take me
even though he had to get the grouches. When I was younger I was very forgetful. Whenever
something bad happens my father always has a way to turn things

My Personal Hero
Dads are underrated members of society who do not get enough recognition for what they do. My
dad is my personal hero because he, along with others, has boosted me up when I needed it most.
For instance, when I am sick, he is always the one who takes care of me to make sure I am always
on the right track to feeling better. He always comes in to make sure I am doing okay, sometimes
even to the point where it annoys me. My dad also helps me with my homework when I need it,
and makes corrections where I have made a mistake. Moreover, he has given me encouragement by
telling me I could do anything I put my mind up to and more, and I am appreciative because it has
given me confidence in areas where I had insecurities. In addition, my dad not only

make a little extra money. She didn't want my dad to have me to himself all night long she
wanted that quality time with me. I can even explain how much I appreciate all the things she did

she got to America. She did it because she couldn't bare to watch my dad kill himself at work and

My Hero Is A Hero
If you ask any kid who their hero is they will most likely say their parents. And in my case, it's still
my dad. He has overcome a lot of adversities in his life that makes him who he is today, which is
my hero. A hero doesn't have to slay dragons sometimes all they have to do is follow their dreams.
They all must go through some difficult times to help them understand that they want something
better for themselves and as motivation to get there. My dad grew up in a small town called Verona,
North Dakota where he and his family farmed. I remember him always telling me when I was a
kid, "when I was your age I would have to feed the pigs and they were so mean that I would throw
the food in and run." I think he knew from a young age that this wasn't something he wanted to do
for the rest of his life. He never liked the town either and how fast gossip spread. But his dad was
pretty admit on giving all the kids a piece of land so they could keep the farm in the family. My
dad was torn on whether he should follow his dreams of getting out of the small town or stay for
his family. He ultimately decided to go to college and follow his dreams, by going to NDSU for
business. His family wasn't too thrilled with his choice to leave, but he knew it was right for him.
While going to college he worked at a part–time job and during the summers he had two jobs. Then
during the fall he would help his family during harvest. Though the classes were tough and he had
a lot on his plate he knew it was for a better future and whenever the going got tough he would
remind himself that he could be cleaning out a horse stables or working with tractors and it
always got him back on track. This really motivates me to go after my dreams and know that
everything will work out. He supports my sister and me to follow our dreams and push our
limits. Even though it took him five years to graduate, since he missed school for harvest each
year, he graduated from NDSU. He got a job working for Great Plains Software where he started a
job that he really enjoy. But since he was just out of college and was new at this place he worked
constantly. He would only come home to eat and shower and then go back to work until the wee

My dad is my hero.
It was only last week when I was prompted to recall this. When I tore my meniscus five months
ago, I underwent surgery in order to remove the damaged tissue. Recovery was going well, but
unbeknownst to me, if you do not keep up with your physical therapy exercises, then you will
regress in your abilities. I had been running just the week before, but within a week I learned this
brutal lesson because I could no longer walk. It was a setback in my running due to overuse and a
regrettable lack of motivation to do my physical therapy exercises.
Yet as much pain as I was in, this was only like a glimpse into my father's life withcerebral palsy.

For clarification, cerebral palsy is a diverse disorder that affects every patient uniquely. It is
usually marked by severely diminished motor coordination and spastic muscle qualities. Notably is
Melody from the novel Out of My Mind. She is an example of a critical case of CP where she
cannot sit upright or talk. However, there are patients on the other end of the spectrum, including my
dad. These individuals can control many fine motor movements, and often, they can walk with some
aid.
It would be easy for my dad to succumb to his circumstances, choose to be inactive, have a negative
outlook on life. What is so inspiring about my father is that he did not take this road. Instead he falls
into the category with other able–bodied dads: he has an unfortunate choice in calf–length white
socks, ancient New Balance sneakers, and a preoccupation with road maps and directions.
Here is an image of my father. My mom insisted on taking this picture of him while we were
celebrating his most recent birthday. To the unsuspecting viewer, my dad is a jovial man who has
just turned 29. One might say that his smile lights up the room as much as the cake. Although he
was actually turning 59, the candles turn back the clock 30 years because he has a comical
obsession with claiming that he is perpetually 29. I suppose the older one gets, the more denial he or
she must feel.

Heroes; something we all aspire to be, but easily recognize in others. Wait, how do we define
what makes a hero, a hero? A hero is one who is kind, courageous, smart, determined and selfless.
They often do what is better for the greater good and not themselves. This is seen in both Greek
and Modern heroes, whether it is cutting off Medusa's head or defeating the Riddler, they show
these qualities in one way or another. We also see these qualities in parents, true everyday heroes.

Someone who does not care about their family would never put themselves through this, but my
dad does, and that is what makes him my hero. In addition to the heroic quality of being caring, he
is also remarkably determined. Determined, something I have always known my father to be.
Often times, when my dad sets his sights on a goal, there is nothing stopping him from reaching
it. One of my best memories of this was that for an entirety of two years he called into every radio
contest that was raffling off Disneyland tickets, just so I may see Disneyland once in my life.
With how dedicated my father was, he eventually won tickets and we went to Disneyland. While
this may seem trifling, it was a huge deal in our family, as we were often too poor to even attempt
to buy tickets, but through my dad being the insistent person he is, he called in every day until he
won tickets. Someone with bona fide determination would keep doing this every day for two years,
even if the probability of not winning was high. Christmas time is another example of my father and
his determined mindset. To be more specific, he is always insistent on our family having the best
Christmas ever. This ranges from stringing lights on the house with me in bone chilling, 30 degree
weather, picking out a beautiful, fragrant tree and getting gifts for our
Romero 3 family. In reality, this is all a lot of work that only an undaunted person can carry out year

made for lots of snow. I liked my mom's sled a lot, it was a red 2002 500 Polaris, it was stock and
very comfortable to ride on the trails. We took off south towards Kindred going about 50 miles per
house, nice cruising speed for the trail we were on. It was kind of a bad day to ride, no clouds in the

water, the snow must have melted from the warm week we had.

getting in a fist fight. The kids at recess began to surround them and started yelling stuff. Somehow
she got ahold of the boys hands, swung him around and let go just right so he slid down the hill
that they were on. After that the boys never bugged her again. Even though my mother was shy, I
think that is pretty courageous for a young girl. When she tells me that story she reminds me to have
courage and stick up for yourself and for others.
My mother lives 2,872 miles away from her parents. Every time we go to Hawaii it breaks my
heart when she has to leave my grandparents. I admire my mother so much for being able to stay
strong living so far away especially as they are getting so old. She has a tremendous amount of
courage being able to adjust to a new culture in Idaho.
My mom has raised five children, and I am the last one at home. "Perhaps it takes courage to raise
children.." (Steinbeck) I think that couldn't be more true. She raised all three of my older sisters to be

Personal Narrative-My Hero, My Dad
My Hero, My Dad
The wind was cold and bit deeply into the skin on my exposed legs and chest. I shivered a little,
shielding my face against the cold by putting my back to the wind. Standing alone on the platform,
high against the background of the rest of the park sent shivers tightly down my spine. I watched the
goose bumps raise neatly on my arms and legs. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, sighed out my
anxieties and jumped.
I was quickly being violently thrashed about inside the fiberglass tube, working my way down the
cascading waterfall of death. The water slide threw me like a rag doll in the air only to catch me
again with the gentleness of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. This jolt sent my head...show more content...
There was disorder on the outside. Apparently everyone thought I was in trouble. I did not think so.
The serene clarity of my water wonderland put my mind at ease.
Unfortunately the concussion I suffered from the water slide skewed my judgment, if only slightly.
A lifeguard immediately recognized my situation and, accordingly, leapt into the pool, bubbly with
the thought of saving a life. He quickly and accurately swam across the watery expanse determined
to put his training to use, saving a complete stranger. Lying at the bottom of the pool, I was
completely unaware of the goings on up above. All I remember was the hand.
My rescuer's hand plunged through the glassy surface above and took a hold of mine. I was
drawn from my trance as I was drawn from the water. I immediately gasped for air, thrashing as
the oxygen started to fill my lungs. At first I couldn't tell who carried me to the side of the pool,
focusing on breathing, feeling like I had never used my lungs before. When I caught my breath, I
stared into my lifesaver's face. To my surprise my father's eyes stared back.
Astonishing onlookers and baffling the lifeguard on duty, my dad heroically jumped in the water,
beat the trained guard to me and plucked me from the blissful waters through his love for his son.
All this time my rescuer, my savior, was my own dad. I did not even realize he was near enough to

My Father Is My Hero
My Father, My Hero When I was four, I knew I had the greatest dad in the world. My dad always
made me laugh, always took care of me when I was sick, and always found time to spend with me
outside of work. My dad has been a firefighter for almost 30 years. He started in April of 1995 and
has been with Tupelo Fire Department since. My dad started out as a sergeant driving the fire
truck when he first began his career as a firefighter. In May of 2016, he was promoted Captain of
Station 6 in Tupelo, Mississippi. In a recent interview I had with my dad, I asked him questions
about his job. Some questions included what was the toughest part of his job, how it felt when he
had to leave his family for work in the morning, and knowing what he knows now about
firefighting now, would he go back and change his choice of career. Before this interview, I knew
firefighting was a serious job, but I had no idea of some of the incidents my dad had encountered.
The interview was heart–felt and could be gut wrenching, depending on the question I asked my dad.
My father is my hero, not only because of the lives he has helped, but because he has been the
person to always make me laugh through hard times. My dad, Captain Mark Patton, has always
found humor in any situation. Even when he has to be serious in calls he is dispatched to, he finds
a way to make his samaritans laugh. One question I asked my dad was, "Have you ever received
any calls that have been hilarious and just

My Dad Is My Hero Essay

  • 1. My Dad Essay The man above all the rest, because of his influence on my life, is my dad. He is so special to me that it's hard to put it in words. My dad is the one who had me knowing in my heart by 7th grade, maybe even sooner, that I wanted to teach someday and that I wanted to coach. My dad was a 5th and 6th grade teacher for 23 years. During these years he coached track, softball, volleyball, and my favorite sport, basketball. I remember during a science lesson on the parts of the body he had middle school students playing "The knee bone's connected to the...". He had the respect of his students and, in return, they worked hard for him. He had the ability and opportunity to influence each and every one of their lives. I hope I will someday have a similar influence on my students. I have many special memories of helping my dad with bulletin boards (not always willingly!), correcting papers (which I did enjoy!), reading stories for contests, and just observing him. My dad's a principal now of an elementary school, but he is probably one of the most visible, active principals I've ever known. My dad plays his guitar and sings during school assemblies. How many principals do that? The kids, teachers, and parents all get a kick out of that. Since he was a teacher for so many years, the teachers feel more like he is "one of them", not an egotistical administrator that feels he is so much better than everyone else. He really loves and cares about the kids. He's so proud of the students in his school, always cutting their pictures out of the paper and having kids be "principal for the day". Many people have influenced me to become a teacher through their example and their sincere concern for me. Some great people listened to me and are now my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Dad Essay My dad is my hero, he goes by the name of Ray Williams. My dad is a preacher but not your typical preacher. Just because he is a preacher he doesn't stop me from living my life and having fun that's what I love about him. People always see my father as one of the "cool dads". Some of the reason he is my hero is that he is strong, helpful, and always there for me. Trust and believe that's not even the half of it. One of the main reasons my dad is my hero because he is always there for me. When I was in 6th grade my parents got divorced and life hasn't been the same ever since, but my dad has always encouraged me and ensured me that everything was gonna be okay. Whatever I needed he tried his hardest to provide. Not to mention I...show more content... If they need anything he tries to help them out even though he knows it isn't his responsibility. Another example of how my father helps others is when my friends or my sibling's friends need a ride my father will give it. If they need a couple dollars he doesn't mind helping them out. My dad even offers to take us all out to eat and pay for everybody's food even if my friends have money. My dad has a huge heart, and nobody can take that from him. The last reason why my dad is my hero is that he supports me in anything and everything I do. My dad is the most supportive person I could ever think of. Whatever I decide to do (unless it's something completely out of the box), he is by my side. He always says, "If it makes you happy I'm happy". He just wants what's best for me just like any other parent would for their child, but it feels different for me. I know for a fact when I'm in trouble he is always gonna be there to help. I fall down is always there to pick me back up again, and at the end of the day no matter how much I get on his nerves, and how hard of a time I always give him he's never gonna leave me In conclusion, my dad is a blessing, and I wouldn't replace him for all the money in the world. Many people don't have a dad or take their father for granted, but I'm so grateful for mine. He never judges me, and never will, and I know he's "Team Alisha" till the day I die. Therefore, it is safe to say, my father, Ray Williams is my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My Role Model: My Father Is A Super Hero Throughout someone's life they have a role model that they look up to and admire. Whether it be a super hero, a relative, or even a friend, they still look up to that individual. My role model comes in the form of a five foot five man, with short black hair, and a face just like mine. He's my father and even though he's no super hero, he's still definitely the person I look up to the most. Whether it be supporting my dreams, needing someone to talk to, or needing a ride to a date, he's always there for me. When it comes down to it he's the person I admire most, my role model, father, mentor, and most importantly my friend. My dad has always had to make choices and sacrifices for my own benefit. For the first four years of my life my family couldn't afford a car. Since both my parents worked my dad had to walk me to my babysitter before work every day (no matter how hot or cold the weather...show more content... From working on cars, to fixing the T.V., I observed every little move he made. When I turned thirteen he started teaching me different ways to fix electronic appliances like video game controllers. I was always fascinated by how much he knew and admired how he taught me every single thing with patience. He felt more like a teacher than a father every time he taught me something. When I was in seventh grade, I started to get bullied and it got to the point where it got physical. In order to learn how to defend myself he taught me how to box. He was a rough teacher, pushing me to my limits, not even letting me rest until he said I could. However, teaching me how to box was the best thing he ever taught me. I stopped being bullied and I found something I loved and wanted to improve at. Every lesson I learned, every detail we spent talking about, were things I cherished because I felt closer to the person I admired most. Growing into the person I am today was all thanks to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Personal Essay : A Hero Is A Hero : My Hero My Hero It has been said that not all superhero's wear capes. I agree with this statement undeniably. My dad is more than just my hero; he is my best friend. Absolutely one–of–a–kind. He is knowledgeable, hardworking, and also the most loving man I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He loves unconditionally. A remodel, a teacher, and a great example of what a father should be like. There are not enough words in the whole world to show how much he means to me and how much I love him. Have you ever thought about how life would be without motivation nudging you to move forward? My daddy pushes me to do my best each and every day. My two amazing sisters and I would not be the young women we are today if it were not for him there to guide us in the right direction. From late night ball games, to frustrating calculus homework, there is never ending support. I do not know where I would be in life right now if it were not for his constant motivation. Giving is not a strong enough word when you are talking about my dad. He has made so many sacrifices for my family. From driving me hours away from home at the crack of dawn, to moving thirty–seven hours away to a different country to support our family. He is constantly doing whatever he can to make sure my siblings and I have anything we could ever want or need. Along all of these things my father would do anything to help anyone who needs it. Do you ever wonder about what your dad has taught you over the years? Learning to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Hero As A Hero : My Father Is My Hero The person who made me, he made me who I am today, he made me want to be more like him in the future. The person that I find to be my hero is my father. He is the most heroic person to me for many exceptional reasons. Along with all of those reasons he has common flaws that everyone has, like typical everyday flaws that every hero the kids are writing about in this class have, but are there for a reason, because if they were not there than my father would be an all–around perfect human, which is not realistic. More than once has my father saved my life and I know that he will save my life more than one more time in my future. Therefore, I will get into all of these qualities my father has so you, too, can understand why my father is my hero. My father, Dave Wolf, grew up in a family of five, being the middle child, which from my sister's opinion is the hardest child to be. He grew up in Fargo, North Dakota, going to Fargo South High School way back in the 70's–80's and moved out as soon as he could from his parent's home. This, as far as I can tell, made him more independent, and able to support himself at ease unlike every other child still living with their parent until age 26 (it seems like). He went to Wadena College, in Minnesota to become a power lineman. He soon realized that this profession was definitely not for him. At that time he found a new profession and was continuously moving around in–between North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. He then soon met my mother and they got married at the young age of 22 (young today). They settled down in the small town of Brandon, Minnesota (Close to Alexandria, Minnesota) after having all three of their children, I being the youngest and beyond spoiled. I was one year old when they moved to Brandon. My dad got a secure job at Gardonville Telephone Coop. as the CEO of the company providing a living for his new family of five. This job opened a crazy amount of opportunities for him and his future, also my future just based off of all that he has accomplished, I know that I can too. My story starts with the winter of 2006–2007. We lived on Big Chippewa Lake in the "country" outside of Brandon. Across from my house we had what seemed to be a giant hill that, as Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Descriptive Essay About My Father Every person I have ever met has someone that they are able to look up to and can say that that specific person is their hero. A very important person in my life that has affected me in many ways would be my father. There is so much to know about such a great person. Lance Knight is a mentor, a hard worker, a businessman, an avid ice hockey fan, and a loving dad. Whether he is at home, in the office, or out socializing with friends and family you can always expect a friendly and positive demeanor. My father is one of the most paramount and compelling people in my life due to his love he shares for others, his influential advice, and the countless similarities we have in common. The love that my father has for others shines like the first light of day of a bright Arizona sunrise. His loyalty to his friends and family is unparalleled to others. One example of this would be during the holidays towards his family. He understands that family time is extremely important, which is why he does his best to create memorable experiences that last a lifetime. Another example of this involves his business clients that he takes such great care of. As a financial advisor and money manager for other people, he treats everyone of them as if they were his closest and dearest friends. He understands that effort and hard work put in towards others will pay back in the future. Overtime, a level of trust is built between him and his clients causing them to consistently ask for influential advice. Lance is one of the most influential people I have ever met. The advice that he has given me in the past has helped me through many life situations. This specific characteristic has caused him to be a great mentor and life coach to countless people. What makes him stand out even more is his constant willingness to provide his influential advice to help others. I have even had close friends ask him for advice on certain topics of business within their college courses. Another example of influential advice that he has given happened within the past few weeks towards myself. I had gotten cut from my recent ice hockey team and I was debating on whether to continue playing or instead attend college in December. He was the one that convinced Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. My Father Is A Hero When I think of a hero I think of a strong person who cares about the things they believe. Thay care about others around them. They help the people in need. They stand for what is right. This is why my dad became my hero. My dad is a great man. he grew up in a small town. In the same place i grew up. He was born 61 years ago. He grew up as a hard worker on a mountain herding sheep. He later met my mom and they got married. Later on in his life he develop lyme disease and is now currently functionally blind has extreme anxiety and depression. Fro as long I have known he has been kind hearted, service oriented, and has had a good perspective on life. Some of the things that I look up to my dad is how he treats others around him. Sometime he might seem a little scary and intimidating, but every time he goes to town he makes someones day. He always compliments them or puts joy into their lives. Most the time when he does this he does not know the person and has never met this person. I also look upto on how caring he is about everyone. One time we went down to mexico and we went to a part where there is not much money and it is poor and not many people have houses. My family and i went into a shop and was looking around the people who owned the shop was a father and a daughter and no mother the lived and sleep in this shop too. When we left we went to another shop across the street and my ad went back into the previous shop we was in. he went and gave the daughter Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. College Admissions Essay: My Father Is My Hero A hero to me is someone that is willing to help other. A hero to me is someone that is willing to do the right thing even if it means that they miss the football game. A hero to me is someone that sees the bad and turns it to into the good. My father fits this description perfectly. When is comes to willing to do the right thing even if they miss something important my father is off the charts. For instance when I was extremely sick he took me to the Urgi–Care even though he would miss the football game. His son came first. Also when I left my coat at pre–school my dad would take me even though he had to get the grouches. When I was younger I was very forgetful. • 9. My Dad Inspired Me Essay The family member that inspires me the most if my dad. My dad has been an amazing person for as long as I can remember. He has been successful ever since he came from Malaysia, he is very talented in many ways, he is hardworking, and almost never gives up. My dad has encouraged me to always do my best, always study hard, and to be the best person I can be. If my dad was not here, I think I would be a very different person than who I am today. My dad has also inspired me to one day become a great doctor like him. In this essay I will go more in depth and tell you how much of an inspirational person my dad is. My dad is a very hard working person. It is one of the of the qualities that has gotten him this far. First off, he came to America...show more content... My dad is an incredible tennis player, and he takes me to play tennis every now and then. He teaches me how to play correctly instead of using my master strategy of baseball hitting balls over the fence. Again, my dad is very good at the musical arts. He does karaoke and plays guitar often while recording it for people to enjoy. Crafty is an understatement for him. He can build anything with a hammer, nails, and wood. Ok, maybe not just those things, but he built our entire basement, fixed up our house, built parts of our bathroom, and more. This inspires me to either become a doctor, or an architect, and he inspires me to play tennis in high Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. My Personal Hero Dads are underrated members of society who do not get enough recognition for what they do. My dad is my personal hero because he, along with others, has boosted me up when I needed it most. For instance, when I am sick, he is always the one who takes care of me to make sure I am always on the right track to feeling better. He always comes in to make sure I am doing okay, sometimes even to the point where it annoys me. My dad also helps me with my homework when I need it, and makes corrections where I have made a mistake. Moreover, he has given me encouragement by telling me I could do anything I put my mind up to and more, and I am appreciative because it has given me confidence in areas where I had insecurities. • 12. My Hero Essay My Hero My hero is one that is very close to me. My hero is the person that gave birth to me. My hero is my mother. I chose my mom as my hero because to me that is what she is and more. My mom is literally the backbone in the family. She takes care of everything in the family and around the house. Before I began to drive my mom would take me everywhere. My mother like many others has been to the moon and back just to help me. She is such a kind person, she gives me advice about anything, she is always helping me convince my dad about anything, and most importantly she helps me get away with everything. My mom is not just my mother she is more than that, she is like the best friend I could ever have. I remember the amount of times that...show more content... So he kept his day shift and she got a night shift at a station. She was there for about a year then she began to study to become a beautician and she achieved in doing so. It took too many hours away from me so she left her job to take care of elderly people during the day and clean peoples homes during the weekends to make a little extra money. She didn't want my dad to have me to himself all night long she wanted that quality time with me. I can even explain how much I appreciate all the things she did for me. I understand now how hard it was for them to spend time with me and get money. I remember that my first christmas in America I literally got nothing because my parents couldn't afford it, basically they couldn't afford anything. There was even a time where they both had to work full day shifts just to be able to pay the rent. My mom worked in everything she could find and everything she did, she did more than good. My mom had never worked a day in her life until she got to America. She did it because she couldn't bare to watch my dad kill himself at work and her do nothing. Though she may sometimes get annoyed by me, I always demonstrate affection towards her. She even gets mad sometimes but I don't care because she gets over it soon enough. • 13. My Hero Is A Hero If you ask any kid who their hero is they will most likely say their parents. And in my case, it's still my dad. He has overcome a lot of adversities in his life that makes him who he is today, which is my hero. A hero doesn't have to slay dragons sometimes all they have to do is follow their dreams. They all must go through some difficult times to help them understand that they want something better for themselves and as motivation to get there. My dad grew up in a small town called Verona, North Dakota where he and his family farmed. I remember him always telling me when I was a kid, "when I was your age I would have to feed the pigs and they were so mean that I would throw the food in and run." I think he knew from a young age that this wasn't something he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He never liked the town either and how fast gossip spread. But his dad was pretty admit on giving all the kids a piece of land so they could keep the farm in the family. My dad was torn on whether he should follow his dreams of getting out of the small town or stay for his family. He ultimately decided to go to college and follow his dreams, by going to NDSU for business. His family wasn't too thrilled with his choice to leave, but he knew it was right for him. While going to college he worked at a part–time job and during the summers he had two jobs. Then during the fall he would help his family during harvest. Though the classes were tough and he had a lot on his plate he knew it was for a better future and whenever the going got tough he would remind himself that he could be cleaning out a horse stables or working with tractors and it always got him back on track. This really motivates me to go after my dreams and know that everything will work out. He supports my sister and me to follow our dreams and push our limits. Even though it took him five years to graduate, since he missed school for harvest each year, he graduated from NDSU. He got a job working for Great Plains Software where he started a job that he really enjoy. But since he was just out of college and was new at this place he worked constantly. He would only come home to eat and shower and then go back to work until the wee hours in the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. My Father Is My Hero My dad is my hero. It was only last week when I was prompted to recall this. When I tore my meniscus five months ago, I underwent surgery in order to remove the damaged tissue. Recovery was going well, but unbeknownst to me, if you do not keep up with your physical therapy exercises, then you will regress in your abilities. I had been running just the week before, but within a week I learned this brutal lesson because I could no longer walk. It was a setback in my running due to overuse and a regrettable lack of motivation to do my physical therapy exercises. Yet as much pain as I was in, this was only like a glimpse into my father's life withcerebral palsy. It is usually marked by severely diminished motor coordination and spastic muscle qualities. Notably is Melody from the novel Out of My Mind. She is an example of a critical case of CP where she cannot sit upright or talk. However, there are patients on the other end of the spectrum, including my dad. These individuals can control many fine motor movements, and often, they can walk with some aid. It would be easy for my dad to succumb to his circumstances, choose to be inactive, have a negative outlook on life. What is so inspiring about my father is that he did not take this road. Instead he falls into the category with other able–bodied dads: he has an unfortunate choice in calf–length white socks, ancient New Balance sneakers, and a preoccupation with road maps and directions. Here is an image of my father. My mom insisted on taking this picture of him while we were celebrating his most recent birthday. To the unsuspecting viewer, my dad is a jovial man who has just turned 29. One might say that his smile lights up the room as much as the cake. Although he was actually turning 59, the candles turn back the clock 30 years because he has a comical obsession with claiming that he is perpetually 29. I suppose the older one gets, the more denial he or she must feel. This photograph encapsulates my father's personality. My experience with these characteristics with my father are more unnoticeable, but one such image that stands out in my mind, is the countless trauma calls he has taken me on. One such experience was the night, a man, broke his leg to the point that it was next to his head. The man was severely drunk and kept trying to leave, my father struggled with the man until he calmed down enough that they could help him. • 16. My Father : A Hero Is A Hero Heroes; something we all aspire to be, but easily recognize in others. Wait, how do we define what makes a hero, a hero? A hero is one who is kind, courageous, smart, determined and selfless. They often do what is better for the greater good and not themselves. This is seen in both Greek and Modern heroes, whether it is cutting off Medusa's head or defeating the Riddler, they show these qualities in one way or another. We also see these qualities in parents, true everyday heroes. While they may not have super strength or the ability to fly, parents are the ultimate heroes in our lives, for they love for us without judgement and will always be there when we need them most. My father, William Romero, is a hero since it takes a true hero to...show more content... Someone who does not care about their family would never put themselves through this, but my dad does, and that is what makes him my hero. In addition to the heroic quality of being caring, he is also remarkably determined. Determined, something I have always known my father to be. Often times, when my dad sets his sights on a goal, there is nothing stopping him from reaching it. One of my best memories of this was that for an entirety of two years he called into every radio contest that was raffling off Disneyland tickets, just so I may see Disneyland once in my life. With how dedicated my father was, he eventually won tickets and we went to Disneyland. While this may seem trifling, it was a huge deal in our family, as we were often too poor to even attempt to buy tickets, but through my dad being the insistent person he is, he called in every day until he won tickets. Someone with bona fide determination would keep doing this every day for two years, even if the probability of not winning was high. Christmas time is another example of my father and his determined mindset. To be more specific, he is always insistent on our family having the best Christmas ever. This ranges from stringing lights on the house with me in bone chilling, 30 degree weather, picking out a beautiful, fragrant tree and getting gifts for our Romero 3 family. In reality, this is all a lot of work that only an undaunted person can carry out year after year, even Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. My Father Is A Hero : My Hero You don't have to have super powers to be a hero. Someone who is a hero is someone who is admired for their courage, achievements, and noble qualities. My dad is my hero in many ways. He is my hero because he is always there for me when I need him, he always challenges me, and he puts family first. My dad is always there for me when I need it the most. There have been many times he has come and saved the day. This is one that I will never forget, I was about twelve years old at the time. I had an old red 1994 340 Polaris snowmobile. I had drilled holes in the side and put screens over it so it would get more air flow. I also had about 50 stickers all over the hood. It looked like a racing sled and it went pretty fast too, my dad put some aftermarket clutching into it so it went faster. We took off from our house in Horace, about 2 in the afternoon, just me and my dad. He took my mom's sled out since it was late in the season and not much snow, his sled is a mountain sled made for lots of snow. I liked my mom's sled a lot, it was a red 2002 500 Polaris, it was stock and very comfortable to ride on the trails. We took off south towards Kindred going about 50 miles per house, nice cruising speed for the trail we were on. It was kind of a bad day to ride, no clouds in the sky, but it was very windy and cold. We saw some people in these low ditches skipping across the water, the snow must have melted from the warm week we had. When we got to kindred we stopped at the local Get more content on HelpWriting.net

My hero just happens to be my mother, Naomi Peterson. She raised me and continues to raise me into the person I am and the person I am becoming. She taught me from a very young age how to be a hard worker and to help others. For obvious reasons she is my idol and hero. When I think about the qualities of a hero, I think of someone who is courageous, loving, and selfless. My mom is all of these and more. She did it wonderfully and I'm so grateful for her example.I learned an important lesson from her about how to be selfless. When my mother was in fourth grade, she was playing tag at recess. Then one of the boys grabbed her hair and didn't let go. So my mother swung to make the boy let go, and they ended up getting in a fist fight. The kids at recess began to surround them and started yelling stuff. Somehow she got ahold of the boys hands, swung him around and let go just right so he slid down the hill that they were on. After that the boys never bugged her again. Even though my mother was shy, I think that is pretty courageous for a young girl. When she tells me that story she reminds me to have courage and stick up for yourself and for others. My mother lives 2,872 miles away from her parents. Every time we go to Hawaii it breaks my heart when she has to leave my grandparents. I admire my mother so much for being able to stay strong living so far away especially as they are getting so old. She has a tremendous amount of courage being able to adjust to a new culture in Idaho. My mom has raised five children, and I am the last one at home. "Perhaps it takes courage to raise children.." I shivered a little, shielding my face against the cold by putting my back to the wind. Standing alone on the platform, high against the background of the rest of the park sent shivers tightly down my spine. I watched the goose bumps raise neatly on my arms and legs. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, sighed out my anxieties and jumped. Unfortunately the concussion I suffered from the water slide skewed my judgment, if only slightly. He quickly and accurately swam across the watery expanse determined to put his training to use, saving a complete stranger. Lying at the bottom of the pool, I was completely unaware of the goings on up above. All I remember was the hand. My rescuer's hand plunged through the glassy surface above and took a hold of mine. I was drawn from my trance as I was drawn from the water. I immediately gasped for air, thrashing as the oxygen started to fill my lungs. At first I couldn't tell who carried me to the side of the pool, focusing on breathing, feeling like I had never used my lungs before. When I caught my breath, I stared into my lifesaver's face. To my surprise my father's eyes stared back. Astonishing onlookers and baffling the lifeguard on duty, my dad heroically jumped in the water, beat the trained guard to me and plucked me from the blissful waters through his love for his son. • 20. My Father Is My Hero My Father, My Hero When I was four, I knew I had the greatest dad in the world. My dad always made me laugh, always took care of me when I was sick, and always found time to spend with me outside of work. My dad has been a firefighter for almost 30 years. He started in April of 1995 and has been with Tupelo Fire Department since. My dad started out as a sergeant driving the fire truck when he first began his career as a firefighter. In May of 2016, he was promoted Captain of Station 6 in Tupelo, Mississippi. In a recent interview I had with my dad, I asked him questions about his job. Some questions included what was the toughest part of his job, how it felt when he had to leave his family for work in the morning, and knowing what he knows now about firefighting now, would he go back and change his choice of career. Before this interview, I knew firefighting was a serious job, but I had no idea of some of the incidents my dad had encountered. The interview was heart–felt and could be gut wrenching, depending on the question I asked my dad. My father is my hero, not only because of the lives he has helped, but because he has been the person to always make me laugh through hard times.
