Springfield, Missouri held its annual Trick or Treat on Main Street Halloween event. Hundreds of children dressed in costumes went door to door collecting candy from local businesses that decorated their storefronts for the occasion. The Springfield Police Department held a costume contest with winners in different age divisions. City Administrator Laurie Smith said approximately 1,000 children received candy during the successful community event.

Ghosts, ghouls and goblins of all sizes took to the streets of Springfield last
riday looking for a few victims. Not to worry though, because these creatures

Costume contest winners
The Springfield Police Department sponsored a costume contest during Trick
or Treat on Main Street. Sgt. Cliff Peek was the Master of Ceremonies for the
contest. The competition was fierce and the judges had a hard time picking the
winners.
